The Houston Rockets have dropped off ever so slightly in recent weeks, and enter an intriguing game with the LA Clippers on Sunday night on a two-game losing streak.
It hasn't been the prettiest season for the Clippers, but they managed to survive an injury to Norman Powell and now at nearly full health will look to get back to dominating against a Western Conference foe.
Let's build a same-game parlay for Rockets vs Clippers on Sunday, December 8 and lay out a few props that will work well as standalone straight bets as well.

Sunday should represent a dream matchup for Alperen Sengun, who will meet a declining Clippers frontcourt which he victimized on the glass earlier in the season.
The Clippers have failed to stop players from scoring inside this year, ranking 26th in rim defense according to Cleaning the Glass, and as they remain squarely in the bottom 10 at the rim in the last two weeks they've ranked just 18 in the short mid-range.
Sengun was in a bit of a scoring rut when he last faced the Clippers back in November, but he's found himself in recent weeks in averaging over 21 points in his last eight games.
I like going with his combo market here as the Clippers -- one of the top rebounding teams in the league this season -- have tailed off over those aforementioned last two weeks and rank in the middle of the league.
We're all about the bigs here, taking Ivica Zubac on the other side of this matchup against Sengun. Offense has been hard to come by in recent games with just 18 points across his last three, but I'm willing to buy low here, if you could even call it that.
Simply put, the Clippers are going to have to find one area of the floor to score the ball on one of the toughest defenses in the NBA, and the only slight weakness of this team has come inside -- at least in the last 14 days.
Just like Sengun, Zubac should find a bit of an easier time in what was a tough matchup a month ago with the recent trends we've watched develop. He's drastically increased his scoring output this season and I like that to pick back up on Sunday.
A defensive prop? You bet! It's just too hard to ignore how careless this Clippers team has been with the ball, and we have to hit them where it hurts.
Green found four steals last time out against the Golden State Warriors, and in the last 10 games has averaged 1.5 steals and has racked up multiple in two of those games.
Oddsmakers expect this game to be close, and with Norman Powell back for the Clippers and the Rockets looking a bit vulnerable lately, I tend to agree. That would mean another large dose of minutes for Green, and we know what he's been capable of defensively when he's been on the floor.
