The Phoenix Suns will begin play at the Emirates NBA Cup on Tuesday without Kevin Durant, coming off a loss to the Sacramento Kings where they sorely missed their go-to scorer.
Now, a great opportunity beckons against a struggling Utah Jazz team which is dealing with some injuries of their own, missing some key bigs and putting a couple of scoring guards on the injury report ahead of this one.
What can we make of these absences, and most importantly how can we profit off of them?
Let's build a same-game parlay for Suns vs Jazz on Tuesday, November 12th and lay out a few props that will work well as standalone straight bets as well.

What we learned from the Suns' first game without Durant is clear, and rather obvious -- they're going to need plenty of production from Devin Booker.
The veteran wing has become more of a passer this season than ever before, averaging a career-high 7.3 assists after previously going for a career high 6.9 assists last season.
He's now racked up eight or more assists in five of his last six, and is coming off back-to-back nights where he went for 12 assists. This should only continue to reign true without Durant on the floor, and against a porous defense there's little reason to believe his many passes into shots won't turn into assists.
The other figure of note from that Kings game is the fact that Bradley Beal took a season-high 10 shots from deep.
Beal's got a great chance to bring his slightly depressed 3-point numbers back to where they've sat for his career against a Utah team which has ranked just 19th against the 3, and sits firmly in the bottom third of the league in allowing looks from the arc.
The three-time All-Star may have quite the easy assignment on Tuesday, too, guarded by an inexperienced Cody Williams for most of the game with two guards in Keyonte George and Collin Sexton joining him who are hampered by injury.
This is an excellent line on Beal given how much Phoenix should rely on him for scoring from outside.
Speaking of shooting, let's target the lone man on offense for the Jazz who should be scoring the ball -- Lauri Markkanen.
The Suns have been rather stingy in terms of allowing shots to come from the arc, but they've defended the 3 at just 36.6% to sit 18th in the NBA.
Markkanen, like Beal, is simply shooting too much to ignore such a generous line. He's taken five or more shots from deep in all but one game -- where he played 17 minutes -- and injuries to Walker Kessler and Taylor Hendricks mean he'll be leaned on for close to 40 minutes in this one.
Points are going to have to come from somewhere, and I expect Utah to stretch the floor as best it can with a depleted frontcourt and pray its best shooter can carry the offense.
