Thanks to a blowout loss in their latest NBA Cup game, the Los Angeles Lakers now find themselves in need of a big win to pad their point differential if they'd like to advance to the knockout stage of this competition.
It's not going to come easy, either, with the Oklahoma City Thunder winning six of their last eight and getting Jalen Williams back into the lineup after an injury scare on Wednesday night.
What can we expect from L.A. as it hunts down a big win over a Thunder side which has been persevering in wake of a few big injuries?
Let's build a same-game parlay for Thunder vs Lakers on Friday, November 29th and lay out a few props that will work well as standalone straight bets as well.

The Lakers are getting cooked inside the 3-point arc, both from the mid-range and at the rim, and that's led me right to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as we kick off this parlay.
Gilgeous-Alexander has notched four 30-point nights in his last five games and has played 36.6 minutes per game ever since Holmgren was sidelined due to injury, so his volume here shouldn't be called into question whatsoever.
It's also an NBA Cup game, where we've seen starters play plenty of minutes late in games despite the score, too, so even if Oklahoma City runs it up on L.A. here through three quarters he should stick around plenty long enough to take advantage of this very friendly matchup.
Speaking of friendly matchups, the Thunder have been one of the most generous teams on the boards this season and things have only deteriorated for this frontcourt ever since the injury to Holmgren.
The Thunder have ranked dead last in rebounds allowed to opposing point guards this season, and Reaves has been able to pick up two or more in four straight games now. He's had plenty of great rebounding nights, so I think some work on the boards can help him tally plenty of numbers as we look to cash in on this line.
Reaves enters this game averaging over 17 points per game and should prove capable of working his magic here as one of the few members of this team in a good spot.
As we look to attack the Thunder on the glass, we'll go ahead and back LeBron James to hunt down his fourth eight-rebound game in five tries.
James should find some space to corral rebounds against Jalen Williams, who has been spending most of his time shooting jumpers and allowing those inside to gather rebounds on his misses, and on top of that we have to note that James has done all this amazing work on the boards despite L.A. sitting down near the bottom of the league in rebounding.
The veteran has yet to face the Thunder this season, but he did tally two 10-rebound games against a similarly-inept Thunder team on the glass a year ago.
