The Minnesota Timberwolves didn't have quite the season opener that they'd hoped for with a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, but they'll now have a game's worth of experience to bring into Thursday against the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings took a step back last season, and will now look to deploy a relatively similar lineup with the exception of newly-acquired DeMar DeRozan on the wing. There should be an immediate opportunity to cash in on him, and we'll dive deeper into what this matchup could mean for Anthony Edwards and a fellow All-Star.
Without further ado, let's build a same-game parlay for Timberwolves vs Kings on Thursday, October 24th.

We saw Anthony Edwards take a hefty complement of 3-pointers in the preseason, and that continued on into the regular season where the superstar launched a whopping 13 times from outside, hitting five of those shots.
Now that Karl-Anthony Towns is gone and Donte DiVincenzo is nothing more than a bench scorer as of now, Edwards should get the first crack to make up the loss of Towns' shooting ability for a team that favored the outside shot a season ago.
The Kings were one of the worst teams in basketball at defending the 3 a season ago, ranking 29th according to Cleaning the Glass, and that should put Edwards in a great spot yet again on Thursday.
It's hard to find the soft spot in this Timberwolves defense, which defended incredibly well at every level, but if there's one spot to attack it's in the mid-range.
While this team defended the shot well, it's pretty clear that this is the area of the floor where Sacramento should be shooting most.
Luckily, we have a mid-range specialist going against Minnesota in DeMar DeRrozan, who's shot over 50% on two-point tries for the past five seasons, averaging over 24 points per game in his last 3.
The Kings like to shoot the 3, sure, but they should have no luck against this incredible defense and that should mean the onus is on DeRozan to score the ball here with the likes of Kevin Huerter rendered virtually useless.
Domantas Sabonis is one of those players who should have a tough time scoring against Minnesota, who flaunts one of the best rim protection units in the game led by Rudy Gobert.
As Sacramento looks to avoid shooting down low -- and it did so at the fourth-lowest clip in the league last season -- I think that should mean Sabonis operates as more of a playmaker in this one and looks to get the ball into the hands of DeRozan for spot-up shots or cuts to the rim when he's not passing out for 3-pointers.
I like shorting Sabonis' points and rebounds combo market here, but I think the assists are the best way to play this.
