The Atlanta Hawks have lost six in a row, and their star forward in the process. Now, they'll have to find a way through one of the best teams in the NBA on Thursday, but one which has fallen off a bit with three losses in their last five.

With Atlanta's defense holding steady, is there a shot that its lead man will spend enough time on the floor to both pour in buckets and cough the ball up?
Let's build a same-game parlay for Hawks vs Cavaliers on Thursday, January 30 and lay out a few props that will work well as standalone straight bets as well.

Trae Young 24+ Points
It's been a little tricky to bet on Trae Young's points of late, but someone's going to have to score the ball here for Atlanta on a vulnerable Cavs defense.
Jalen Johnson has been lost for the season, which means there should be more shots to go around for the Hawks' starters, and Young finds himself in a fruitful spot against a Cleveland team which has struggled in his preferred areas of the floor.
- Cleveland has allowed the bulk of its opponents' shots to come from both the short mid-range and from 3 over the last two weeks, and in those two spots it's ranked just 19th and 29th in field goal percentage respectively.
Young has struggled to shoot in the last few weeks, but his volume isn't in question here -- especially with Johnson out. He's averaged 18.5 shots -- and 8.4 from outside -- this month to for 24.5 points, and should have the opportunity to turn his shooting luck around here given Cleveland is both dealing with injury and searching for answers on the perimeter.

Jarrett Allen Double-Double
The Hawks have actually out-paced the Cavaliers defensively by quite some margin over the last two weeks, but their one sore spot has been down low where they've not only fallen off on the glass but have been burned by a heavy dose of interior scoring.
- Atlanta sits just 18th in rebounding rate over the past 14 days with a 69.4% field goal percentage allowed at the rim which puts it just outside the bottom five of the league according to Cleaning the Glass.
That's going to spell trouble here against a very capable Cavs frontcourt, considering the Hawks have allowed the highest percentage of looks at the rim in the NBA over that span while Cleveland has maintained its excellence down low.
Jarrett Allen has recorded 25 double-doubles in 46 games this season -- including one against Atlanta -- and has picked up three in his last five. As the player who's taken the highest number of shots at the rim on this team by quite a large margin, the recipe is there for a big night.
Donovan Mitchell 2+ Steals
I want to get a little wild here, because the Hawks are currently turning the ball over more than any team in the NBA over the last two weeks with nearly 19 per 100 possessions.
The main culprit has been Trae Young, averaging six turnovers per 100 possessions over this span, and while Donovan Mitchell won't be his primary assignment he should spend more than enough time on him to get across the line here.
- The Trail Blazers' performance at the rim has improved in the non-Ayton minutes thanks to Clingan, and they've also seen around a one-point increase in rebounding rate.
Mitchell recorded exactly two steals in each of his two games against the Hawks this season, and has maintained an average over two steals per 100 possessions this season. With Atlanta running out at a crazy pace this month, I expect plenty of opportunities for Mitchell to continue his thievery.
