Another thrilling week in the NBA is set to begin on Monday with two likely playoff teams doing battle on national television.
While the Oklahoma City Thunder continue their dominance on offense, the Houston Rockets' defense has quietly put together a solid run and will look to level the playing field assuming their lengthy injury report doesn't get too far in the way. We'll take a look at the players best-positioned to capitalize on the weaknesses of both teams, including Jalen Williams, who's added a new wrinkle to the way he scores the ball.
Let's build a same-game parlay for Rockets vs Thunder on Monday, March 3 and lay out a few props that will work well as standalone straight bets as well.

While Jalen Williams sits down near the bottom of this team in 3-point shooting frequency for the season, things have turned around rather dramatically over the last two weeks.
The Rockets have an excellent defense, as we noted above, and while the 3-point arc isn't necessarily a soft spot it's not as if this is a very unattainable number for Oklahoma City's second fiddle on offense. Houston will be without Fred VanVleet's defense around the arc and may be down Dillon Brooks and Amen Thompson to boot.
If one of those latter two names sits, this becomes an even stronger play, though given Williams has shot seven or more times from outside in four of his last six games and has gone 4-for-8 in back-to-back showings, I'm not shying away from this one at all.
The injuries are really mounting here for Houston, and while VanVleet is the only player to be ruled out as of now there's a chance Brooks, Thompson and Alperen Sengun sit.
I'm a fan of Green here not only because he'll have the ball in his hands plenty but because he should be able to score from outside. The Thunder have allowed the sixth-most 3-pointers on average in the last two weeks and rank in the same exact spot when it comes to stopping these looks.
Green has averaged 22.7 points in 34.8 minutes without VanVleet this season, and in five games since the break has scored 22 or more four times, averaging 26 points on 20 shots per game.
He continues to be a minutes machine, and as he enters shooting 44.2% from 3 over that span I like him to fill up the scoring column quickly.
Finally, we'll hone in on another man who should benefit from VanVleet's absence and back Thompson to go for six assists.
Assuming he plays, Thompson should see plenty of action at point guard and has played the most minutes on the team with VanVleet off the floor. In that time, he's seen a jump of over one point in his Assist Rate.
The Thunder are just outside the bottom five in defensive efficiency over the last two weeks and have allowed the 11th-most assists per 100 possessions over that span, so it's not as if this is an impossible spot. I don't love the number, but with so many injuries for Houston and issues abound for this Thunder defense, I think Thompson's volume should get him over the line.
