To start my list of NBA parlay predictions for the matchup, I’m going with the Knicks -14.
This one is quite simple: The 76ers are atrocious and cannot stop anyone.
This season, as road underdogs, the 76ers are 8-18-1 against the spread, the worst in the NBA.
The 76ers allow the highest shooting percentage and second-highest 3-point shooting percentage.
The 76ers are barely a team at this point, given the number of injuries they’re dealing with.
The Knicks are 18-15-1 as a home favorite.
The only reason to take the 76ers is simply because of the number.
Avoid them. There’s no reason to take them.
Josh Hart 10+ Points
The next leg for my NBA Same Game Parlay today is the Knicks forward Josh Hart scoring 10 or more points.
This season, Hart is averaging 13.8 points per game.
He’s had 10 or more in three of his last five games. In the games he fell short, he had 7 (against the Los Angeles Clippers) and 9 (against the Washington Wizards).
Hart also plays a ton of minutes, averaging 37.7 per game.
Also, the 76ers defense has been dreadful, allowing opponents to shoot 49% from the floor against them this season. That’s the worst in the NBA.
Of his 71 games this season, Hart has had 10 or more points in 61 of them.
Thus, he’s met this point total in about 86% of his games.
There’s no reason to believe he won’t have it here against one of the worst teams in the NBA.
Karl-Anthony Towns 2+ 3-Point Shots Made
Of the best parlay bets today in the NBA for this matchup, I really like Towns to hit two 3-point shots or more. I was tempted to go to three, but I’ll stay with two.
This season, Towns is shooting 42.5% from beyond the arc, making 2.1 per game on 4.9 attempts.
In this matchup, he’ll face a 76ers defense that allows opponents to sink 37.8% of their 3-point shots. That’s the second-worst in the NBA.
That percentage has increased to 44% over their last three games, the third-worst in the NBA during that stretch.
Towns has had two made 3-point shots or more in two of his last five games. Across 67 games this season, he’s had two 3-point shots in 42 games (approximately 63% of his outings).
The only potential concern is a blowout, and Towns doesn’t play as much, but I think he’ll hit this mark before that.
OG Anunoby 2+ 3-Point Shots Made
As another quick addition, I’ll also take another Knicks player, Anunoby, to make two or more 3-point shots.
Over his last five games, he’s made two or more in all of them.
He’s shooting 36.9% from 3-point range but averages 6.1 attempts per game, leaving him more wiggle room to knock these down.
In 68 games, he’s made two or more 3-point shots in 45 (66.2% of his games).
Like Towns, the only potential for this one to fail is how much he plays; otherwise, there’s no reason he shouldn’t hit these shots.
The 76ers defense is atrocious.
Quentin Grimes 20+ Points
OK, we’ll round out this Same Game Parlay with a prop bet from a 76ers player.
The 76ers have had a tough season, but one player has stepped up: Grimes.
He’s averaging 13.9 points per game, but he’s scored 20 points or more in four of his last five games.
Remember, Grimes was traded to the 76ers in February, so the stats are skewed a bit.
With the 76ers, he’s averaging 21.8 points and is playing 33.2 minutes per game, an increase from the 22.8 he was receiving with Dallas.
Since March 1, Grimes has had 20 points or more in all but three games.
The 76ers have no one else, and Grimes will benefit—they need to score points somehow, right?
