Tabbed as 3-point spread and -175 moneyline favorites at home, quarterback Jordan Love and the Packers are fresh off a 27-13 week one victory over the Detroit Lions. Ahead of tonight's matchup, four starters, including Micah Parsons, are listed as questionable on the injury report.
One victory away from the 2025 Super Bowl, the Commanders continued their dominance from last season with a 21-6 victory over NFC East division rival New York Giants. Led by quarterback Jayden Daniels, the Commanders' defense spoke loudly. They held the Giants without a touchdown, and New York quarterback Russell Wilson was limited to 17/37 for 168 passing yards.
Tonight marks the first meeting between Washington and Green Bay since October 2022. Led by new franchise quarterbacks Love and Daniels, the Packers and Commanders are heavy favorites to win the Super Bowl out of the NFC.
The Packers have the fourth-best odds (+750) to win Super Bowl LX, while the Commanders have the seventh best odds to hold up the Lombardi Trophy (+1900)

OVER/UNDER (TOTAL)
BEST ODDS FOR WASHINGTON COMMANDERS VS GREEN BAY PACKERS
GP: 1 | CMP: 19 | Attempts: 30 | CMP: 63.3 % | Passing Yards: 233| Passing TD: 1 | Pass Long: 34 | Rushing Yards: 68 | Rushing TD: 0
My first best bet for tonight, I placed one unit on Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels to record over 21.5 completions for +100 odds on Fanatics.
Daniels and the Commanders get a Packers team that limited the Detroit Lions to just 13 points last Sunday. In that matchup, the run game was abysmal for Detroit, even with Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery. Limited to 46 total rushing yards as a team, Lions quarterback Jared Goff went 31/39 for 225 passing yards.
Although questionable, Daniels should face some pressure if edge rusher Micah Parsons is able to lace up. Ranked No. 17 in dropback sack rate (47.7 %), I highly doubt the Packers will let the Commanders run the ball at a high volume.
Although we are just through week one, Daniels cracks the top ten in success rate (51.1 %). Allowing 225 passing yards to week in against Detroit puts the Packers at No. 18 against the pass.
Daniels is a rising quarterback, largely in part of his ability to scramble out of the pocket. Green Bay may boasts one of the best red zone scoring defenses this season so far (25 %), however, I'm not completely sold on the secondary.
There's no doubt the Packers have of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in former Giant Xavier McKinney. However, I have to see more from Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine. In week 1, the Lions put up 200+ yards up in the air from various receivers.
Overall, Daniels will face the Packers for the first time in his NFL career. Completing 19/30 of his passes against the Giants in week 1, they arguably have one of the strongest defensive lines. If he can complete 19 passes against Abdul Carter, Dexter Lawrence II, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Brian Burns, I have complete faith in him tonight.
Dating back to last season, Daniels completed well over this player prop lie in eight of the remaining nine games of the 2024-2025 season. The Commanders have on upgraded their offense, this time pairing wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin.
GP: 1 | Rec: 2 | Targets: 4 | Receiving Yards: 27 | Receiving TD: 0 | Average: 13.5 | Long: 14 | First Down: 1
My second best bet for today, I placed one unit on Washington Commanders star receiver Terry McLaurin to record over 21.5 longest reception for -120 odds on FanDuel.
McLaurin was shut down by the Giants last week, recording 27 receiving yards on two receptions. With a longest reception of 14 yards, it was an underwhelming performance from a betting perspective.
The Commanders scored just 21 points against a stingy Giants defense, and the receiving yards mainly went to Deebo Samuel, Chris Moore Austin Ekeler, and Noah Brown.
McLaurin is the No. 1 wideout for Washington, and there's a reason why he held out for a three-year $96 million extension with the team. Now he gets a rising star studded quarterback in Jayden Daniels for the second straight season.
Under Daniels first NFL season, McLaurin crushed a career-best 13 touchdowns for 1,096 receiving yards. With a longest-haul of 86 yards, it's fair to say he has a connection with Daniels. That means, even if he did miss training camp.
Overall, McLaurin is an elite receiver, who's not only explosive, but is notorious as a deep-ball threat. Making down the field plays, he's arguably one of the best receivers in breaking tackles. Plus, there's no denying his speed.
I have to stay consistent if I'm betting on Jayden Daniels to throw more tonight. With that said, dating back to last season, McLaurin caught longest receptions of 35 yards, 58 yards, and 36 yards to close out the season.
In both matchups against the Packers in 2021 and 2024, he soared over this player prop line, recording longest receptions of 40 and 37 yards.
Last week we saw Lions tight end Sam LaPorta grab a 32-yard longest reception. In addition, top wideout Amon-Ra St.Brown hauled in a 19-yard catch. Last year the Packers were one of the best in containing the deep-ball threat, allowing just 6.8 yards per catch.
McKinney and Valentine may be a tough matchup. However, McLaurin has averaged a longest reception of 32 yards over the last 10 games.
GP: 3 | Receiving TD: 2 | Targets: 24 | Yards: 262 | Average: 15.4 | Long: 71 | First Down: 7
My third best bet for tonight, I placed one unit on Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs to score a touchdown in the second half for +125 odds on DraftKings.
Jacob's touchdown odds are juiced at -200, so I decided to go with a different type of bet here. He is not only the workhorse back for the Packers, he played 95 percent of the snaps week 1 against the Lions.
In his first season with Green Bay, Jacobs rushed for a career-high 15 touchdowns, with 1,329 yards on the ground. In addition, he tallied 343 receiving yards for one touchdown.
Considered one of the best in breaking tackles, Jacobs is a three-down back, and a powerful one too. There's no doubt in my mind he will find the endzone tonight.
Overall, the Commanders limited the Giants to 74 rushing yards, and held them to 0-2 attempts in the redzone. Last week, the Packers put up a potent 27 points, in which Jacobs rushed for 66 yards on 19 carries for one touchdown. As a team the Packers were 3-5 in the redzone.
Jacobs scored a late touchdown with 7:57 remaining in the fourth, which is why I have him for a second-half TD. The Commanders are a decent team, meaning the Packers could have the potential to play from behind.
Tonight, Jacobs has a decent matchup, who's allowed the second most touchdowns to running backs last season. Eight of his touchdowns game in the second half last year from October 20 on.
In one lone game against Washington in her career, Jacobs rushed for a second-half touchdown.
