It's been an eventful NFL Week 3, and the Bears (1-1) will host Jalen Hurts and the Eagles (2-0) tonight in the Windy City. These teams have faced off just twice since 2022, but the Bears got the best of the Eagles in 2025, 24-15.
The Eagles remain undefeated with wins over the Washington Commanders and Tennessee Titans to start the 2026 season. The Bears have entered Year 2 under Ben Johnson, and along with that comes high expectations. At 1-1, Chicago is fresh off an ugly 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Unfortunately for Chicago, quarterback Caleb Williams is week to week after suffering a hamstring injury and was carted off the field last Sunday. In his absence, veteran quarterback Case Keenum is expected to start. For the Eagles, tight end Dallas Goedert will miss tonight's contest and linebacker Jonathan Greenard is questionable to lace up.
The Bears currently put up the most total yards per game with 424.5 in the NFL and lead the league in rushing with 212.5 yards per game behind D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai. Despite Philadelphia's 2-0 start, they have been fairly shaky against the run to start the season.
Overall, the Eagles are 7-3 SU against the Bears since 2009 and have won six of the last seven meetings. In addition, Philadelphia is 4-2 ATS in the last six matchups against Chicago and enter tonight's game as 3.5-point favorites on DraftKings. Oddsmakers are expecting a lower-scoring affair as the over/under total is set for 41.5 points.
Although we are just three weeks into the 2026 NFL season, the Eagles have the seventh-best odds (+1500) on DraftKings to win the Super Bowl. Conversely, the Bears have +2800 to hold up the Lombardi Trophy this season.

Here are my three best player prop bets, odds, and predictions for the Monday NFL matchup between the Eagles and Bears on Sept. 28. You can find all of my best at ...
Today, I locked in Bears running back D'Andre Swift to record 80-plus rushing and receiving yards against the Eagles.
Under head coach Ben Johnson and offensive coordinator Press Taylor, the Bears offense was flowing with a 59-37 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Since we are only two weeks in, that clearly was an outlier game.
As mentioned previously, the Bears boast the most yards per game (424.5) and put up 31.0 points, which is tied for third-most with the Detroit Lions. However, we saw the Bears lose 9-3 against the Vikings in which Williams went down with a hamstring injury. It was an ugly, rainy game overall.
Veteran quarterback Case Keenum, now in his 14th NFL season, is expected to make the start. We are talking about a respectable backup quarterback, but one who hasn't touched the field since December 2023 with the Houston Texans. In that last start, he threw for just 62 passing yards.
Throughout his career, he averages 189.7 passing yards per game and the Eagles rank No. 17 in passing DVOA. While the Eagles have some injury question marks on the defensive end, they allow the second-fewest passing yards to opponents in the NFL with 166.0 per game.
This means I'm expecting the Bears to generate most of the expected offense on the ground. With the over/under at 41.5 points, I'm not expecting Chicago to score a ton of points, but Swift can move the chains. Here's why:
Running back Kyle Monangai is very much in the picture, but Swift is the clear No. 1 back and leads with 93 total snaps compared to Monangai's 57. In fact, it was Swift who played 57% of snaps and increased that to 68% in Week 2.
Overall, Swift cracks the top 20 among NFL running backs in total rush yards (169), yards per carry (4.97), yards after contact (129), and receiving yards (64). He's coming off a career year with 1,087 rushing yards in 2025 and is averaging 84.5 rushing yards, 17.0 carries, 5.0 YPC, 32 receiving yards, and 3.0 receptions per game in 2026.
We saw Swift explode for 124 rushing and 10 receiving yards against the Panthers in Week 1 in which he found big-play opportunities not only up the middle but on the outside as well. Perhaps the best play of the week came with a 32-yard run and a broken tackle. In 2026 alone, defenses have created 7 missed tackles against Swift.
In week 2, Swift found success for 99 yards against a stingy Vikings defense that allows the fourth-fewest rushing yards in the NFL with 85.7 per game. It was an ugly matchup, but Swift made his way for 45 rushing and 54 receiving yards. Currently, that's 34 carries and 6 receptions through two games.
I like this play even more if Eagles linebacker Jonathan Greenard doesn't play tonight. Philadelphia doesn't let up a ton of points (21.0 per game), but they allow the eighth-most rushing yards with 126.3 in the NFL. In fact, they rank No. 19 in defensive rushing DVOA per FTN.
Even with Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Cooper DeJean, Zack Baun and company, the Eagles post just a 15.6% run stuff rate and rank No. 27 in rush EPA (0.00). Against Washington, Jacory Croskey-Merritt ran for 63 yards on 16 carries, which wasn't all that effective. But last week, Titans running back Tony Pollard found late-game success with 64 rushing yards on 16 carries, in addition to Tyjae Spears' 29 receiving yards.
For my second-best bet, I locked in Eagles wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to record 40-plus receiving yards against the Bears.
Wicks was a solid signing for the Eagles after receiver A.J. Brown departed to the New England Patriots. While he's hovered around 300-500 yards during his time with the Green Bay Packers, Wicks is the clear WR2 for Philadelphia and hasn't too far behind DeVonta Smith.
Through two games, Wicks has compiled 147 receiving yards, 10 targets, 7 receptions, 1 touchdown, and is averaging 73.5 receiving yards per game. More impressively, he's connected with Jalen Hurts relatively quickly, boasting a longest reception of 64 yards against the Commanders in Week 1.
In fact, he leads all Eagles receivers with an average yards per reception of 21.0 and has been clutch for Philadelphia in making big plays.
Overall, Wicks boasts a 17.7 total EPA and has mainly lined up outside and occasionally in the slot. Not only is he a solid downfield threat, but we've seen him create separation.
While it's been only two games, he's been a preferred connection over rookie receiver Makai Lemon, who's produced just 9 receiving yards this season. And if we want to talk about consistency, Wicks has delivered back-to-back weeks of 70-plus receiving yards and is fresh off a 74-yard, 5-reception game against the Titans.
Perhaps the biggest question is: What will the Eagles do at tight end? Dallas Goedert has been ruled out and Zach Ertz is expected to be activated. And the most interesting stat is the snap count. Despite Wicks' snap counts decreasing from 91% in Week 1 to 62% in Week 2, he produced almost identical stat lines.
Even with Ertz back with the Eagles, I'm expecting increased volume for Wicks with Goedert out. Goedert is averaging 40.5 receiving yards per game in 2026.
I particularly like Wicks' matchup with Malik Muhammad and the Bears' defense that ranks No. 21 in defensive passing DVOA. While the Bears give up only 23 points per game, their defense has been porous against the pass. In 2026, Chicago allows the seventh-most passing yards per game in the NFL with 240.0 per game. Defensively, they allow over 360 total yards of offense per game.
This is a solid matchup for Wicks against a Bears defense that's given up 289 receiving yards (144.5 per game) in total to receivers this season. Ranking No. 21 in EPA per play, Chicago will have its eyes set on WR1 DeVonta Smith. If we want to talk about its passing weaknesses, Chicago allowed over 109 air yards per game and 53.2 yards after the catch in 2025.
I especially like Wicks' matchup, given the fact that he's produced 126 receiving yards when lined up out wide. Fortunately, the Bears' best defense comes against slot receivers, not outside.
My third bet is unique, but it's a strong play. I'm taking the Chicago Bears to total 7-plus kicking points tonight for plus-money. Cairo Santos cracks the top 10 in XPM (8) and his hit-rate (66.7%) could be higher. However, he's 100% on extra point attempts and 2-for-2 from 40-plus yards.
The Bears went from scoring over 50 points in Week 1 to a lone field goal for 3 points in Week 2. While we can blame the weather, we can also account for Caleb Williams going down in the fourth quarter.
As mentioned before, Case Keenum is expected to start at quarterback over Tyson Bagent. As mentioned previously, I'm not 100 percent convinced in Keenum, who hasn't played an NFL game since 2023. With that, I'm expecting a strong run game. To me, this changes the offensive landscape significantly.
Santos was a perfect 8-for-8 in extra points in Week 1 and made a 50-yard field goal, though he missed one.
