NFL Week 2 is here, and there's a Monday Night Football matchup between the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams. Tonight features a meeting of two teams that have met just eight times since 2008. In this article, you will find my best player props for Sept. 21.

The Rams lost to division-rival San Francisco 49ers 27-7 in Week 1 and enter this week as 0-1 for the first time since 2016! A lackluster performance on both sides of the ball in Melbourne, Australia, the 49ers controlled possession of the clock, and the Rams committed several turnovers, went 2-of-9 on third down and 1-of-3 inside the 20. Quarterback Matt Stafford didn't look himself as he threw for 155 yards and an interception.
Defensively, the Rams couldn't stop the run as the 49ers tallied 174 rushing yards and 205 receiving yards across eight different wide receivers and tight ends.
Regardless of their slow start, the Rams (+670) remain the favorites to win the Super Bowl and have home-field advantage on Monday Night. While Aaron Donald is expected to make his debut since announcing his retirement, Myles Garrett has been placed on the IR. Additionally, Stafford may be without his top receiver, Puka Nacua, who's questionable (hip). It gets worse for the Rams as receiver Jordan Whittington is doubtful and safety Kamren Kinchens has been ruled out.
Conversely, the Giants are 1-0 for the very first time since 2009 under new head coach John Harbaugh. Earning the 28-20 season opener victory over the Dallas Cowboys, Cam Skattebo and the Giants ran for 165 yards but turned to quarterback Jaxson Dart for 230 passing yards and three touchdowns.
Last week signaled a new era in New York as the Giants controlled the clock, put up 394 total yards of offense, and went 9-of-11 on third down conversions. Not only that, but they finished 4-of-4 inside the 20-yard line and the defense was fairly solid.
Over the last four meetings, the Rams hold a +17.5 average margin of victory over the Giants. Oddsmakers are predicting a high-scoring affair as the over/under is set at 47.5 points and Los Angeles is a 6.5-point favorite.
The Giants started off hot but injuries will present some challenges tonight. The secondary is banged up as cornerback Deonte Banks is questionable, along with linebacker Micah McFadden. In addition, cornerback Paulson Adebo has been placed on IR.

BEST ODDS FOR NEW YORK GIANTS VS. LOS ANGELES RAMS
If you're betting on the Monday Night Football matchup between the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams, welcome!
The Giants and Rams game will kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium. In addition, the matchup will air on ABC and ESPN.
Here are my three best player prop bets, odds, and predictions for the NFL game on Monday, Sept. 21. You can find all of my plays within Fanatics and FanDuel Sportsbook for popular quarterbacks and running backs.
For my first-best bet, I'm locking in Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart to record 30-plus rushing yards on Monday night.
Dart isn't exactly at Josh Allen's level, but he's a premier rushing NFL quarterback. Although New York played just one game, Dart ranks among the top 10 NFL quarterbacks in rushing yards this season. In New York's Week 1 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, Dart rushed for 54 yards on 11 carries, which was good for an average of 4.9 yards per carry.
Dart was impressive with 230 passing yards and three touchdowns, but we also saw some elite runs especially out the shotgun thanks to Isaiah Likely's blocking capabilities. Again, we saw Dart excel on fake handoffs and read-option.
The difference this year is the Giants' offensive line, who gave up just two sacks to Dart. In addition, fullback Patrick Ricard has been a huge blocking presence, as that's a trait of Greg Roman's offensive scheme. In Week 1, Ricard played 54% of snaps.
His longest rush was for 22 yards, and now he faces a Rams defense that ranks No. 24 in defensive DVOA and No. 26 in defensive rush DVOA. Sure, Aaron Donald makes his return, but No. 99 hasn't played an NFL snap since January 2024. Nearly 1,000 days have passed since he's stepped foot on the NFL field. As mentioned before, Garrett landed on the IR, so Dart will find more gaps to run.
I'm not knocking the Rams defensive corps that includes Byron Young, Donald, Kobie Turner, and Braden Fiske. However, we are talking about a team that allowed 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy to rush for 29 yards on 5 carries. It didn't let up at on the ground either: Christian McCaffrey and Kaelon Black combined for 133 rushing yards on 24 carries.
We saw Dart rush on the outside last week, with 33.3% of his rushes going to the left and right outside routes. Fortunately for Dart, the Rams allowed a 67% success rate on both sides in addition to 9.0 yards per carry on the right as well. This was a clear weakness of the Rams' run defense in Week 1.
For my second-best bet, I locked in Giants running back Cam Skattebo to record over 13.5 rushing attempts tonight.
It's evident the Giants are using a running back committee, but Skattebo is the clear RB1 as he played 61% of snaps compared to Devin Singletary's 36% in Week 1. As I mentioned before, Ricard was utilized as a fullback on over 50% of plays last week for blocking purposes.
Skattebo had an average season debut, delivering 81 rushing yards on 18 carries for an average of 4.5 yards per carry. Compare that to Singletary, who recorded 14 rushing yards on 6 carries. Then there was Tyrone Tracy Jr., who rushed for 14 yards on two carries including a fumble.
In reality, 18 carries is solid and very common for a RB1. In his rookie season, Skattebo averaged 12.6 carries, 51.3 rushing yards, and 4.1 yards per carry per game. However, he was limited to just eight games, and he was barely utilized in his first NFL career game against the Commanders. In 2025-26, Skattebo split significant carries with both Tracy Jr. and Singletary.
Even when splitting carries last season, Skattebo cleared this line in four of the last five games played in 2025-26, averaging 18.7 carries per game. With that, we saw a career-high 25 attempts against a stingy Chargers defense and 19 and 16 against the Eagles and Broncos. Mind you, Skattebo was getting decent rush attempts against top run defenses in Los Angeles and Denver.
Now he gets a Rams team, as I mentioned before, ranks No. 26 in defensive rush DVOA. And surprisingly, it was Black who led the way with 14 carries. I'm truly not banking on the Giants shifting away tonight from Skattebo as the primary back. Plus, the Rams are allowing 5.7 yards per carry and 24 carries to running backs per game.
In 2026, Skattebo ranks in the top 10 in success rate (55.6%), and ranks No. 18 among all NFL running backs in rushing EPA per attempt. This is a favorable matchup for Skattebo, who should see plenty of volume as the Rams have allowed over 6.0 yards per carry off the left guard and end, areas where 40% of Skattebo's carries have ended up.
For my third-best bet, I locked in Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford to record over 21.5 passing completions on Monday night.
Stafford is the reigning NFL MVP, and he hardly resembled that in Week 1. In the 20-point loss against the 49ers, the Rams offense was stagnant as Stafford completed 15 of 25 passes for 155 yards and 1 interception. In that matchup, Stafford connected with Puka Nacua for 74 yards, but failed to connect with any other receiver for over 26 receiving yards.
If Stafford could complete 15 passes against a stingy 49ers defense, he should have better success against a Giants team that allowed Dak Prescott to complete 22 of 34 passes. In 2026, the Giants upgraded their defensive line and it showed in Week 1. New York currently ranks No. 14 in defensive rush DVOA and No. 16 in defensive pass DVOA.
The New York Giants held Javonte Williams to 41 yards and the Dallas rushing to 69 total yards. That's the third-fewest rushing yards per game in the NFL.
Now back to the pass: the Giants are allowing an average of 21.0 completions this season and 21.1 in 2025-26. While New York held up defensively against Dallas, they have several injury question marks within the secondary.
As mentioned previously, cornerbacks Paulson Adebo and Korie Black are headed to the IR. Now, Micah McFadden and Deonte Banks are questionable. This may open things up for Stafford who also gets a New York defense that didn't record a single sack last week. In fact, Prescott threw for 175 yards to nine different wide receivers and tight ends. The second half was marginally better as he threw for 103 passing yards and a touchdown.
There's concern after Week 1, but I truly feel that number was an outlier. And yes, there is concern if Puka Nacua doesn't play. According to Adam Schefter, his status "doesn't sound promising." However, Stafford has the likes of Kyren Williams, Davante Adams, among several tight ends. Yes, the receiving corps will be thin, but Stafford has averaged 23.2 passing completions in his NFL career. Since traded to the Rams, Stafford is averaging 23.0 completions per game, which is north of tonight's player prop line.
That includes an average of 22.4 completions against the Giants in his career. With an over/under total set on the higher side, I would imagine Stafford will throw given how stingy New York's run defense was in Week 1.
