The NFL season officially got underway on Wednesday. But it really gets going on Sunday with 14 games on the schedule featuring many of the league’s best and brightest superstars. We all know what that means, right? It’s going to be a great day for betting on NFL Player Props.
With hundreds of markets available for each game, we are talking about literally thousands of player props to choose from. But you don’t have to sift through the masses alone.

I’m here to help. Here are my top three NFL Player Prop picks for Sunday’s slate:
After watching the team win the division title with an 8-9 record last season, Panthers fans are a little eager to see what their team can do this season. Of course, it will help immensely if they get better play out of quarterback Bryce Young as he heads into his fourth season as QB1.
His completion percentage has steadily improved each season, as have his touchdown totals, but also his interception numbers. He had a career-high last season with 11, throwing at least one in nine of 17 regular-season games. Young was one of four quarterbacks to throw 11, and six threw more than he did. So, that number isn’t necessarily bad; it’s just not good.
However, he has thrown two interceptions in each of his season openers in the NFL (vs. Atlanta in 2023, New Orleans in 2024, and Jacksonville in 2025). The Jaguars were one of the better pass defenses last season with 22 interceptions. But the Saints ranked 11th in interceptions in 2024 with 14, and Atlanta was one of the worst in 2023 with just eight.
His passing grade (PFF) has improved dramatically since his rookie season, going from 53.0 in 2023 (39th out of 41 QBs) to 68.2 last season (27th out of 43). But that is not too encouraging going against the defense that led the NFL in interceptions last season with 23 (1+ in 12 of 17 games).
Young has gotten off to slow starts every season. Against a defense like Chicago’s, this is a solid value play at +115.
Bijan Robinson is the unquestioned RB1 in Atlanta. He will undoubtedly get the bulk of the carries against the Steelers for a rushing attack that averaged 125.8 yards per game last season (No. 8 in the league). He accounted for just 60.2% of the Falcons' rushing attempts last season (16.9 per game). The Falcons gave him a hefty contract extension in the offseason, but that could mean they may be more apt to have him share carries so as not to risk injury.
Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta’s RB2 last season, had 32% of the attempts (8.4 per game). With Allgeier moving on to Arizona in the offseason, the door is open for Brian Robinson to take over the RB2 role. He has averaged 4.1 yards per carry in his carry and 4.3 yards per carry the last two seasons.
Pittsburgh has historically had tough defenses. The unit ranked 13th against the run last season, allowing 113.1 yards per game last season. But with Cooper Rush starting for the Falcons, the Steelers will likely load the box against the run and dare the Falcons to pass.
But Robinson averaged 3.1 yards per carry after contact last season. He also had a solid elusive rating of 77.4 (per PFF). Atlanta is likely running more than passing with Rush at QB. So, there is a good chance Robinson will get at least as many carries as Allgeier averaged, if not more.
However, with how well he ran last season and an offensive line PFF ranks No. 9 heading into the season, he’ll go over 18.5 yards if he gets 5-8 carries.
Dallas hasn't always gotten off to a hot start with Dak Prescott at quarterback, going 4-6 in his 10 season openers. Four of those games were against the Giants, three of which he won. In those games, he threw for 227 (2016), 268 (2017), 405 (2019), and 143 yards (2023).
For his career, the Giants have been one of Prescott's favorite teams to play. In 17 career games against New York, Prescott’s Cowboys have gone 14-3. This includes last season's regular-season finale, where Prescott did not play the whole game. But despite only throwing for 70 yards in that game, Prescott has averaged 256.7 yards per game against the Giants.
Including that game, he has averaged 224 yards per game vs. the Giants in New Jersey. Take that game out, and he’s averaged 246 yards per game in road games vs. the G-men. However, in season openers, he has averaged 238.3 yards passing. He's had two 400+ yard games and was under 200 yards passing in each of the last four seasons.
Incidentally, all four were with Brian Schottenheimer as the offensive coordinator or head coach.
We expect big passing numbers from Prescott and the Cowboys. But they just haven’t been there in season openers the last four seasons or against New York. You have to go back to the 2018 season to find a game where he went over it on the road vs. the Giants. He went 27-44 for 387 yards and four touchdowns on December 30, 2018.
My inner fan wants the Over, but the data doesn’t lie. Take the Under.
