Novelty bets are a fun way to wager on the Super Bowl, and this year's U.S. National Anthem will be headlined by four-time Grammy nominee, Charlie Puth. One of today's most popular singers, Puth, will take the stage prior to Super Bowl LX. As the latest artist to sing the Star-Spangled Banner, bettors can now bet on the length of the anthem.
Betting on the National Anthem length, along with the coin toss and winning Gatorade bath color, has risen in popularity over the years. Plus, betting odds include which halftime show song Bad Bunny will sing first.
Although the Super Bowl itself is a massive betting day, both Charlie Puth and Bad Bunny lead as top novelty props and singers to bet on.
Super Bowl LX will feature Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks against Drake Maye and the New England Patriots. With the big game ahead, Super Bowl LX will take place on Sunday, Feb. 8.
Let's take a look at novelty props that include the length of the U.S. National Anthem. While the over/under length is a common prop to bet on, the ability to bet on the event has expanded. From the length of the last note held to whether a player or coach will cry, the Anthem holds expectations when it comes to betting.
We all remember when Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was caught crying during the anthem, right? That's been forever transformed into a meme.
Let's take a look at the U.S National Anthem, Charlie Puth picks, props, and predictions for Super Bowl LX.

One of the most talked about and watched events of the Super Bowl is the performance of the U.S. National Anthem. A top prop to bet on, the length of Charlie Puth's rendition of the anthem will be front and center. With the over/under at 119.5 seconds, this year's Super Bowl will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Available in select states, countries, and regions, National Anthem betting is offered by FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM sportsbooks.
While several legal sportsbooks offer bets on this novelty prop, it's still unavailable in most states in the U.S. If you reside in one of these locations, National Anthem props are available under novelty or Super Bowl LX tabs. From there, you can bet on the over/under of the song length, the first coach to be broadcast, and the first quarterback to be shown during the anthem.

A staple of Super Bowl Sunday and sporting events, the Star-Spangled Banner is a tradition that has been at the forefront for years. Becoming increasingly popular, there aren't many legal markets that allow bettors to place wagers on it.
However, the anthem, along with the halftime show, has spent years at the intersection and crossover of sports and music.
Since 1967, the National Anthem has been sung by various renowned artists. Some of whom include Neil Diamond, Diana Ross, Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and more.
Gaining betting popularity in the 90s, novelty props remain a fun way to bet during Super Bowl weekend. Trending all weekend, Ballislife has the complete list of Anthem lengths since Super Bowl 25 in the early '90s.

When it comes to betting on the National Anthem, there are some statistics to know! Alicia Keys currently holds the record for the longest Super Bowl National Anthem performance at 2:35 in 2013 (Super Bowl 47). Similarly, Natalie Cole (2:33) and Lady Gaga (2.22) exceeded such lengths in Super Bowl 28 and Super Bowl 50.
Conversely, Aaron Neville holds the shortest version of the National Anthem (1:25) at Super Bowl 24 in 1990. Other artists with the shortest performances include Jewel (Super Bowl 32) at 1:27, and Billy Joel (1:30) in Super Bowl 41.
Here are some more National Anthem betting trends since 1990:
The "Attention" and "See You Again," featuring Wiz Khalifa singer, Charlie Puth, is a well-known pop artist. He's produced hits such as "How Long"; however, he has tied R&B and slow notes into his songs. While he's a pop artist who can quickly belt out songs, there's a part of me that believes he can hold out some notes for a longer period of time.
As mentioned previously, I calculated the pop star National Anthem average at 112 seconds.
Since 2021, the Super Bowl has added Lift Every Voice and Sing, which will feature Coco Jones in Super Bowl LX. Additionally, Brandi Carlile will perform America the Beautiful. Given that the event has eliminated the Pledge of Allegiance, perhaps Puth will be given more time?
At just 34 years old, Puth is barely scratching the surface of his career. Admitting to Rolling Stone that he auditioned for the National Anthem, he also mentioned that he rehearsed this with a demo before. In Super Bowl LX media interviews, he states that singing in the shower and on his own time is key!
There have been rumors swirling that there's been a leak of the National Anthem; however, I haven't found anything. Leaving bettors ready to go, a video is circulating of Puth playing the National Anthem on the piano—the song lasts 1:12 minutes, or 72 seconds. While the rhythm is relatively fast, Puth is not singing.
While known as a pop singer, Puth has produced longer songs, several of which exceed three minutes. In addition, "We Don't Talk Anymore (ft. Selena Gomez)," "How Long," and "Attention" have a fast pace. Conversely, "One Call Away" and "Marvin Gaye (ft. Meghan Trainor)" hold a slower tone with longer notes.
Overall, the under (120 seconds) has occurred in 22 of the last 36 National Anthems, giving the under a 61.1% hit rate. Over two minutes have happened in 13 of 36 National Anthems, giving the over a 36.1% hit rate since 1990.
Overall, Puth is given nearly 120 seconds, or two minutes flat in this case, to perform the National Anthem. Given his fast pace and pop style, I can't see Puth drawing out the Star-Spangled Banner past two minutes. Especially given his piano rendition on YouTube.
