SGP Pick No. 1: The Sam Darnold Special

• OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns at -118

The Seahawks tended to score more touchdowns through the passing game (25) than through the run (19) in the regular season. However, Zach Charbonnet did most of the work (12), and with him out and the Patriots' defense allowing 25 passing TDs to 11 rushing TDs, the stage is set for Darnold to show out.

• UNDER .5 Interceptions at -114

Darnold proved he can step up to the plate in big games with an excellent performance against the Rams in the NFC title game (25-36 for 346 yards and three touchdowns). He was third in the league with 14 picks during the regular season, but the Patriots do not have ball hawks in the secondary.

New England had 10 interceptions this season. They have had five in three playoff games, but got four off C.J. Stroud.

• OVER 2.5 Rushing Attempts at -106

He had 35 carries during the season, but none against the 49ers (no need) and three against the Rams.  But the key to this prop is not Darnold taking off and running. Kneel-downs count as rush attempts.

SGP Pick No. 2: the Jaxon Smith-Njigba Special

• OVER 93.5 Receiving Yards at -110

He has averaged over 100 yards per game this season and had over 100 yards in the first half against the Rams in the NFC title game. Seattle’s defense will be tougher to gain 100+ yards on, but that just means JSN will have some work to do in the second half.

• OVER 7.5 Receptions at +122

This prop opened at 6.5 but has been popular amongst bettors, resulting in a higher total now. But it is still one JSN that went OVER ten times during the regular season and also against the Rams in the NFC title game. If Darnold has the kind of day he’s expected to have, JSN will play a large part in it.

• First Half Anytime Touchdown Scorer at +230

I’m getting a little greedy with this one, but taking his anytime TD odds at -110 set the SGP odds at +300. Of his 12 touchdowns this season, six came in the first half and six in the second. I’m betting on the first half after watching Darnold focus on JSN against the Rams.

SGP Pick No. 3: If Seattle Wins

• Seattle ML at -230

You could boost the payout by going with the spread, but I opted for the moneyline instead. While I think Seattle will cover, the Patriots are in the Super Bowl for a reason, which has me thinking this could easily be a field goal kind of game. So, just to be safe, I’m taking the moneyline.

• UNDER 45.5 Points at -110

Seattle held the Rams (the NFL’s best offense) to 27 points. The Patriots have a good offense, but Drake Maye has not been at his best in the postseason. Once Seattle gets out to a sufficient lead, the script will turn run-heavy, keeping the final score low.

• Race to 2 receptions, Jaxon Smith-Njigba at +206

Stefon Diggs is the only player who has been targeted more than JSN in the playoffs, with 17 targets, but that was across three games. Drake Maye does not have a favorite target as Sam Darnold does, making it possible JSN makes two catches first, even if the Patriots start the game with the ball.

Because we know Sam Darnold will not hesitate to go to JSN multiple times on the Seahawks' first drive.
