We kick off Week 3 in Wisconsin with the Green Bay Packers hosting the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football. It will be the first game back for Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr., which could make for an interesting night betting on TNF Anytime Touchdown props.
With Penix Jr. back behind center, the Falcons' passing game becomes a legitimate threat. That is, as long as he can knock off the rust quickly. As for the Packers offense, it will likely be one-dimensional once again as it has struggled to run the ball without Josh Jacobs. It should be a fun game.

Now, let’s talk about the best Anytime Touchdown props for this Thursday Night Football game. All odds via FanDuel:
With Josh Jacobs currently unavailable, the Packers run game has suffered. This has forced Green Bay to rely on the passing game, which will be a plus heading into tonight’s matchup against a Falcons defense ranked 23rd in the NFL against the pass (239 yards per game allowed).
Prior to getting injured last season, tight end Tucker Kraft caught 32 passes (44 targets) for 489 yards (15.3 yards per catch) and six touchdowns. Now, he has only been targeted nine times this season and just three last week vs. the Jets. But with his offensive line banged up, Love could look to Kraft as a quick outlet to help keep the chains moving.
Atlanta’s defense has struggled with tight ends the first two weeks of the season. Pat Freiermuth had five receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown for Pittsburgh in Week 1. Darren Waller had three catches for 33 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers in Week 2. Kraft was a solid red zone target last season before his injury (nine receptions (12 targets) for 104 yards and five touchdowns in eight games). He could certainly be that guy for Love and the Packers offense again this season.
It would be foolish for the Packers not to target him in the red zone against this defense. His history, injuries on the offensive line, and the Falcons' defense make this a solid value play at +200
Bijan Robinson is always a vital part of the Atlanta offensive game plan. But his importance this week is amplified with the return of Michael Penix Jr. to the lineup. To give Penix the time he’ll need to reacclimate to the game and knock the rust off, the Falcons need to give him time. Other than the offensive line doing its job, the best way to do that is to establish the run with their best offensive weapon.
In Week 1, he got the ball on 21 of Atlanta’s 31 rushing attempts for 83 yards. He also caught eight of Cooper Rush’s 12 completions for 90 yards and Atlanta’s only touchdown this season. He didn’t see the ball as much in Week 2. That was likely because the Falcons fell behind early and got blown out.
The Green Bay Packers defense has been solid against the run so far this season, allowing 87 yards per game. But they have yet to see a running back of Robinson’s caliber. No matter how good a defense is, Robinson is going to be featured in the Atlanta offense.
So, the opportunity will be there for him to score. If Penix has early success in the passing game, I like Robinson to have a solid shot at getting in the end zone in the first half (+190). But if he doesn’t, the Falcons will definitely be leaning on him in the second half, especially if the game is close. Thus, making his anytime touchdown prop a solid bet.
I’m a little torn as to who to back for my third pick. With Penix Jr. back at quarterback, there is a good chance Atlanta has a halfway decent passing game tonight. If so, Drake London becomes a solid option for the first time this season (+200). However, Green Bay’s defense has been solid against the pass this season (175 yards per game allowed). So it won't be easy for Penix Jr. to knock off the rust.
But the Green Bay offense has leaned hard on the passing game, and especially wide receiver Christian Watson, all season. Through two games, he has 10 receptions (19 targets) for 188 yards and three of Jordan Love’s four touchdown passes.
Atlanta’s defense has struggled against the pass this season and could certainly struggle even more this week with A.J. Terrell going on the IR. However, it is worth noting that a wide receiver has yet to catch a touchdown pass against the Falcons. That could be because tight ends have had so much success against the Atlanta defense. It could also be because the Falcons have yet to face a strong passing attack with a dangerous wide receiver (like Green Bay).
Watson is a solid deep ball threat and has averaged 18+ yards per reception this season. So, we know the Packers will take their shots with Watson deep. With Jayden Reed out, there is a good chance Love targets him even more this week. Against the Falcons' secondary with a potential increase in targets coming his way, Watson could absolutely be in for a big night. At +160, I can’t pass up this prop.
