Wednesday marks the end of the 2026 Unrivaled season. Co-founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, Unrivaled is a women's professional basketball league designed for players, by players. Adapting to a unique format of seven-minute quarters, the fourth quarter includes a target score. In a fast-paced format, one team will be crowned the winner tonight in Miami.
Rose BC won the inaugural Unrivaled championship, but were eliminated in this year's playoffs. Leaving the door wide open, both teams will compete for more than just a trophy. Having toured in Philadelphia and New York, Unrivaled brought in $1m alone by playing its semifinals at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (18,261 sold out).
Following a substantial league valuation, the total prize pool increased to $600,000. As we've seen previously, Chelsea Gray walked away $200,000 richer thanks to the one-on-one tournament.
That said, a trophy and money are on the line, which means this should be an epic matchup between both clubs. In the midst of WNBA CBA negotiations, the earnings could be life-changing for some.

Here are my best bets, picks, and predictions for Wednesday's Unrivaled championship matchup on Mar. 4. Who will be crowned the winner? Mist BC or Phantom BC? Mist BC was the favorite heading into the season (+290), while oddsmakers were skeptical regarding Phantom BC (+800).
If you're tailing my picks, I placed my bets within DraftKings Sportsbook.
Tonight's championship matchup is high-stakes, and a lot is on the line for both clubs. Oddsmakers are predicting a close matchup, and I'm leaning this way too. Although -166 betting odds are juiced, there's still value there. Tonight, I'm taking Mist BC to win the second-ever Unrivaled championship.
Led by head coach Zach O'Brien, I immediately put a futures bet on Mist BC when the roster was unveiled. A complete team top to bottom, this is a club that rosters Breanna Stewart, Allisha Gray, Alanna Smith, Arike Ogunbowale, Li Yueru, and Veronica Burton.
You know this is an elite team when its bench players would be considered starters on any other club.
Overall, this has been the most dominant offensive team in the league, averaging a league-high 77.4 points per game. Furthermore, they boast the highest free-throw percentage (81.2%) and lead all clubs with 7.3 3PA per game.
With that said, they relied on their 3-ball in their semifinal comeback against Breeze, additionally leading the league in 3PM (7.3) and 3PA (21.5) per game.
Although their 3-point percentage (33.8%) and field goal percentage (46.6%) could be more efficient, don't sleep on this team. While Breanna Stewart was snubbed from honors, Allisha Gray was the 1v1 front-runner and was named Second Team All-Unrivaled.
A guard-heavy squad, Mist was considered one of the more efficient teams on the defensive end. With two-way stars such as Stewart, Gray, Burton, and Smith, it's really tough to fade them here. Allowing just 69.8 points per game, opponents shoot just 32.2% from beyond the arc. Often, it's Burton who guards the primary ball-handler.
I truly thought Mist was out of contention after falling behind Paige Bueckers' and Breeze BC's 13-0 run in New York. Mist rallied back from a large deficit, and it was a collaborative effort. While four players scored in double-figures, Smith's late 3-pointer and Ogunbowale's winning shot proved this is the team to beat.
Earning a first-round bye, Mist defeated Breeze 73-69, and although the offense lacked early on, the defense held up. Overall, Mist shot 42.9% from the field, and just 8-18 (44.4%) from 3-point range.
Phantom BC finished as the top seed with an 11-3 record. While several counted them out early on, this team has been as dominant as anyone. That said, Kelsey Plum and Aliyah Boston have anchored this club all season long. Plum earned First Team All-Unrivaled honors, while Boston was named Defensive Player of the Year, along with Second Team All-Unrivaled.
The two-player game between Plum and Boston has been the toughest in the league. However, Boston has been ruled out for the rest of the season, along with Dana Evans. Sure, Kiki Iriafen can hold her own, and has in several instances when Boston entered foul trouble. The question remains: how will Iriafen and Timpson hold up against Stewart and Smith? Phantom loses an elite defensive player in Boston, who averaged 18.9 points, 2.5 assists, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks in 14 games. Additionally, her ability to stretch the floor and knock down 3-pointers made Phantom so lethal.
Like Mist, Phantom earned a first-round bye and narrowly escaped against Vinyl, 83-75, in the semifinals. Scoring 83 points, Plum led the way with 31 points, and four players scored in double figures. That said, Aziaha James and Mikayla Timpson scored a combined two points off the bench, leaving little to no reserves aside from Natasha Cloud.
Plus, Mist is full of three-level scorers that can score buckets in a variety of ways.
Phantom certainly has bucket getters in Tiffany Hayes, Plum, Iriafen, and Cloud. Similar to Mist, they relied on the 3-ball (44.4%), and all four combined for 83 points.
We know Phantom was one of the best teams on both sides of the ball, allowing the second-fewest points per game (67 PPG). Additionally, they averaged 74 points per game and led Unrivaled in two-point percentage (55.5%).
