The Golden State Warriors are the team to watch out for in the playoffs this year. There are surging and playing cohesive basketball as a unit toward the end of the regular season. Stephen Curry and Draymond Green were a bit banged up as they sat in their last game but it looks like they will be good to go for tonight's matchup with the Sacramento Kings.
Their last two games against the Kings have been downright heartbreaking losing each game by just one point. Despite the losses, the Warriors were able to put up 133 and 123 points in both of those games.
The combination of Curry, Thompson, and Green should put up points but the secondary players like Jonathan Kuminga, Andrew Wiggins, and Chris Paul should have themselves a game as well.
Also, the Warriors have the 5th best defensive rating since the All-Star break as they have been clamping down on the opposition. Their offense already putting up numbers and their solid defense gives them the tools to finally get their long-awaited win against the Kings that they've been fighting for a while now and advance to the first round of the playoffs.
The Sacramento Kings are just 4-6 coming into this Play-In Tournament series with the Golden State Warriors in their last 10 games. However, they are coming off their win in their last outing against Portland to at least give them some momentum as they come into this Play-In Tournament game.
The Kings may not be in their best form right now with just two wins in their last five games but they have a familiar opponent who they have played four times this season.
This should help give the Kings some confidence in this matchup as they've won each of their last two meetings against the Warriors.
De'Aaron Fox the heart and soul of this Kings team is averaging 32.3 points per game against the Warriors this season. Fox is going to need some help from his supporting cast Sabonis (17.3 ppg vs. GSW), Harrison Barnes (18.8 vs. GSW), and Keegan Murray (13.3 vs. GSW) as they look to get past their divisional foe and advance to the first round of the NBA playoffs.
The Sacramento Kings have some uphill sledding ahead of them going against the surging Golden State Warriors. The Kings are just 4-6 in their last 10 and even worse they are 2-3 ATS as the betting underdog during that stretch.
The Warriors on the other hand are on a different trajectory coming into the Play-In Tournament. They have been dominating on the floor winning eight of their last 10 games. With the way Curry has this Warriors team humming it's hard to fade him at this point. Take the Warriors laying the 3 points as they push forward toward the first round of the playoffs.
