Three games on the WNBA card for Saturday, but it's the first game that highlights things, with the Las Vegas Aces visiting the Minnesota Lynx in a Western Conference showdown between the league's top two teams. The game tips at 1 p.m. Eastern and will be broadcast on CBS. Just 2.5 games separate the teams atop the standings.
The fifth-place Indiana Fever will visit the 10th-place Chicago Sky for the second game, which tips at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC, as Caitlin Clark will be out to avenge her miscues against the Aces in a gut-wrenching loss on Thursday. The Fever can move into sole possession of fourth place with a win, as the Atlanta Fever are idle today.

The nightcap will be a territorial showdown with the last-place Seattle Storm visiting the 11th-place Portland Fire for a battle of the Pacific Northwest. The game tips off at 8:30 p.m. ET and will be shown on NBA TV. The Storm are looking to bring an end to a 10-game losing skid. Portland has a long climb to get into the playoff conversation, though it's highly unlikely it's making the postseason in its inaugural campaign.

Chelsea Gray's double buzzer-beating shots sent the Aces to overtime and then into euphoria with an incredible come-from-behind win over the Fever on Thursday. It was the type of win that could define the rest of this five-game trip, with the Aces needing momentum for today's stop in Minneapolis and Sunday's in Brooklyn. During a 7-3 win streak, the Aces are scoring 95.7 points per game while hitting .505 from the floor. It's a significant boost to their offense, as the Aces were scoring 90.0 points on .486 shooting during their first 21 games this season.
The Lynx had their 10-game winning streak snapped by the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday, an 89-82 shocker as a -16.5-point favorite, and coach Cheryl Reeve didn't hold back. "We lost our game because we don't play any f------ defense." The Lynx allowed the Sparks to hit 34 of 68 (.500) from the floor, including 9 of 24 (.375) from 3-point range. On the flipside, Minnesota hit just 31 of 73 (.425) and 9 of 29 (.310) from 3-point range. Minnesota is 5-1 off a loss this season, outscoring teams by an average final of 91 to 79.3. But five of those six games came against losing teams, and the lone loss was to Connecticut.
My Best Bet Prediction: Las Vegas +5.5 (-110)
Caitlin Clark appeared to take Thursday's loss harder than she has any of the other 11 losses the team has suffered. Her missed free throws and turnovers helped the Aces complete a 20-point comeback. If there were a game to look at her prop bets, it's this one. Indiana leads the league with 96.1 PPG, but in games following a loss, the Fever are scoring just 90.9 points per game. That said, they're averaging 101.8 points and allowing 92.2 points during their current 7-3 run.
The Sky opened the season scoring 82.4 PPG, during a 4-12 start. Since June 24, Chicago is 8-7 and scoring 94.6 PPG, a span that has seen the Sky rank third in the WNBA in scoring behind Indiana and Las Vegas. During that team's last 15 games, four players are averaging double digits: Sydney Taylor (18.3), Kamilla Cardoso (15.9), Azura Stevens (14.1) and Natasha Cloud (10.7). In her return to the lineup, DiJonai Carrington (10.3) has also jumped into the offensive surge.
My Best Bet Prediction: Over 190.5 (-114)
The Storm bring their 10-game losing skid to Portland, not to mention a 2-16 road record. Seattle ranks 10th in the league in allowing 88.3 PPG, but during its 10-game slide, it ranks 14th in getting torched for 95.9 PPG. Now the beleaguered Storm face a Fire team that has won the first two meetings, one in each city, the most recent a 77-72 victory in Seattle.
The Fire are holding out hope they can make an improbable late-season run to challenge for the eighth and final playoff spot. They're 1-3 since losing Sarah Ashlee Barker for the season, but their offense hasn't necessarily declined. They've scored 97 or more in three of the games, and are averaging 94.8 PPG during the four-game stretch. That's a major improvement from the 85.3 they were averaging over their first 27 games. They've also increased their shooting percentage from .450 to .468.
My Best Bet Prediction: Portland -1.5 (-112)
