There are two games left in the 2026 WNBA season, and playoff seeding remains up for grabs. Also, the stakes are high as the Lynx (32-10) hold a one-game lead over the Golden State Valkyries for the top seed in the league. For Minnesota to clinch the No. 1 seed, they would need a victory today against the Fever or a Valkyries loss against the Fire. Either way, both the Lynx and Valkyries have already clinched home-court advantage and Minnesota owns the head-to-head record at 3-1 in 2026.
On Sunday, the Lynx snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating the Connecticut Sun 101-89. In the win, Olivia Miles passed Caitlin Clark for the most points in a rookie season and became the WNBA's all-time rookie scoring leader. The front-runner for WNBA MVP, Miles is questionable to play today.
The Fever are in a unique spot as they sit fifth in the standings at 27-15. With only two games left, seeds 4 through 8 could be shaken up. The Atlanta Dream did defeat the New York Liberty on Monday night and could clinch a top-four seed if the Fever lose. That said, the top four teams get home-court advantage, and the Fever are 1.5 games back of the Dream for the fourth seed.
This is an extremely important game tonight as the Lynx and Fever will meet back-to-back and will conclude the 2026 WNBA season on Sept. 24. Indiana is fresh off a 93-77 loss against the Mystics despite winning three straight before that.
Today's game features two of the best WNBA point guards in Caitlin Clark and Olivia Miles. Additional matchups to look out for include Napheesa Collier vs. Aliyah Boston and Kayla McBride/Courtney Williams vs. Kelsey Mitchell.
In their only meeting of the season so far, the Lynx defeated the Fever 108-100 in which Minnesota covered the 5.5-point spread and put up 36 first-quarter points. Mitchell exploded for 37 points while Williams and Miles combined for 55 points.
As the regular season winds down, the Lynx are the favorites (-110) on DraftKings to win the 2026 WNBA championship. Additionally, the Fever have the fifth-best odds at +950. Today's moneyline is currently even at -110 odds with the over/under set at 184.5 points. Yes, oddsmakers are expecting a high-scoring affair.

Tonight's matchup will tip off at 8 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Let's take a look at my best bets and player prop picks for Tuesday, Sept. 22.
Today, I'm locking in Fever star Caitlin Clark to record a double-double against the Lynx. Priced at +114 odds on DraftKings, a wager of $20 would pay out $42.80 total.
Angel Reese may be the double-double queen, but Clark ranks top 10 with 14 double-doubles in 2026. Leading guards in that category, she's recorded one in three of the last four games played.
We know Clark will get her points—she's coming off a 25-point performance in which she shot just 6-of-20 from the field against the Mystics. She's scored 10-plus points in all but two games this season. In her defense, she was placed on a minutes restriction after returning from a back injury.
Now let's talk assists: in 2026, Clark is averaging a career-high 22.7 points and 8.4 assists per game, matching her rookie season numbers. Despite being limited to 13 games played in 2025, Clark is averaging over 8.0 assists for the third straight season. In fact, she boasts a 23.9% assist rate and a career-best 1.81 AST/TOV ratio this season.
Clark may average 4.7 turnovers per game, but she makes the big plays, especially in transition. We know Clark has established the two-player game with Kelsey Mitchell, whom she's assisted 94 times this season, especially with backdoor cuts. And of course Aliyah Boston, whom Clark has assisted 89 times.
Her playmaking isn't dependent on just one player: Clark's dished the majority of assists this season to Mitchell and Boston but has recorded an assist to 11 players in total. According to Her Hoop Stats, 78.5% of her assists have come on two-pointers, primarily to Mitchell, Boston, Mikayla Timpson, and Monique Billings. If Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull could somehow break out of their slumps, her assist rate could be even higher.
Overall, Clark has tallied 10-plus assists in 15 games this season and has cleared 10-plus dimes in three of the last four games. Her facilitating has been off the charts as Clark delivered 14, 12, and 10 assists against the Tempo, Sun, and Sky. Additionally, Clark's recorded double-doubles against the Wings, Liberty, and Lynx, all playoff teams.
In the Fever's 108-100 loss against the Lynx, Clark delivered 19 points and 10 assists, while shooting 8-of-18 from the field, and 2-of-9 from three. In 34 minutes, she made it to the line once, which is unusual for Clark. Clark's assists were on full display as the Fever's high-octane offense produced 100 points. In the outing, Mitchell delivered 37 points, while Boston scored 15. In fact, four players produced 14 points off the bench.
I like Clark's matchup here. The Fever are in a must-win scenario for playoff clinching purposes and the Fever boast the top offensive rating (115.8) in the WNBA for a reason. Plus, the Lynx are tied seventh for allowing the most double-doubles this season (25) as we saw last outing with Clark.
In her WNBA career, Clark is averaging 21.0 points and 8.0 assists in four games against the Lynx. Although recording a double-double in just one, Clark's best path forward would be points and assists.
Indiana's team total is set for 92.5 points on DraftKings. The books are expecting another high-scoring affair, so as long as it's competitive, I could see Clark logging 30-plus minutes. She's hit the 10-assist threshold in 8 of the last 13 games, and Mitchell is playing at an MVP level averaging 28.8 points over the last five games.
Today, I'm locking in Lynx star Napheesa Collier to record 20-plus points against the Fever. Averaging 18.7 points, Collier is shooting 50.5% from the field, 42.9% from three, and 85.7% from the line. Although limited to just 14 games due to injury, she's been quite impactful for the Lynx.
I personally witnessed Collier erupt for 23 points in 34 minutes against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday. Collier took advantage of Connecticut's injuries and lack of size in the interior, and shot 9-of-16 from the field, 0-of-2 from three, and a perfect 5-of-5 from the line.
Today won't be as easy of a matchup as the Fever have Aliyah Boston and Mikayla Timpson, who has been a force defensively in the interior. Against the Fever on Aug. 8, Collier delivered 18 points, while shooting 6-of-13 from the field, 3-of-5 from three, and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe. While Olivia Miles stole the show with 28 points and several downhill buckets, Collier still managed to put up 18.
In the matchup, Collier showed her interior prowess by scoring on both Boston and Billings. Also, Collier was productive in the pick-and-pop with Miles on the perimeter, and found open backdoor cuts. We even saw Collier back down Timpson 1-on-1 and take advantage of Indiana's failed rotations on the perimeter as Minnesota played five-out.
There were several occasions where Collier took advantage of slow rotations to find wide-open looks on the 3-point line.
Overall, I'm not impressed with Indiana's defense as they allowed the Lynx to put up 108 points. Not only do they rank No. 11 in defensive rating (108.7), but they also slid to No. 12 in defensive rating (111.3) over the last 10 games. That said, the Fever are less forgiving to centers but allow the second-most points per game (35.8) to forwards.
Collier has cleared this line in four games this season, but there's a possibility that Miles may suit up. With that said, we've never seen the Lynx with Collier and without Miles. I am also encouraged that not only is Collier fresh off 23 points, but she's shooting 59.3% over the last two games. Mind you, she's been cold from three (0-4), so that might change tonight.
All in all, the Fever allow opponents to shoot 33.6% from three on 23.2 attempts per game.
I placed one unit on the Lynx to record over 91.5 points today against the Fever.
There's a reason why the Lynx own the WNBA's second-best offensive rating (112.8). Olivia Miles, Napheesa Collier, Courtney Williams, Kayla McBride, and Natasha Howard fuel this offense that averages 91.3 points per game. In fact, Minnesota boasts a 38.4% 3-point percentage and is a team that makes 29.9 shots per game.
This team is a well-oiled machine with and without Collier. Minnesota thrives off two-points (52.8%), but is surrounded by elite talent and shooters. Not to mention that McBride is one of the most elite 3-point shooters in the WNBA and the combination of Miles and Collier in the pick-and-roll is nearly unguardable. Miles provides shot creation, facilitating and the ability to skillfully drive downhill while Collier can stretch the floor at 6-foot-1. Howard is a fantastic screener who provides stability on the interior.
According to ESPN stats, the Lynx scored over 91.5 points in 19 games this season, which is a 45.2% hit rate. While the Lynx were cooking in July (95.2 PPG), they are averaging 91.0 points per game in September.
As mentioned before, this is a team that put up 108 points against Indiana while shooting 57% from the floor, 44% from three, and 11-of-15 from the line. 46 of those came inside the paint and the Lynx capitalized with 15 points off turnovers.
To put things into perspective, the Lynx starters scored 96 points, resulting in nearly 89% of the team's points. As a group, all five scored in double-figures and shot 10-of-21 from beyond the arc.
Not to mention Courtney Williams, who delivered 27 points. Both Miles and Williams are threats alone as they are premier shot creators.
Overall, the Fever own the WNBA's third-best pace in the league, and if it's anything like last game, the Lynx should match Indiana's pace.
In 2026, the Lynx scored 92-plus points in all three games against the Aces, and 100-plus points twice against the Dallas Wings. They've been able to keep up against playoff teams, and their second-highest output of the season was against Indiana.
