The marquee matchup for today features the Golden State Valkyries (25-11) and the Minnesota Lynx (31-7). This is a high-stakes matchup that will headline two of the top-seeded teams in the WNBA. While both have clinched a playoff berth, the Lynx remain five games ahead of the Valkyries for the No. 1. seed. Meanwhile, Golden State retains a one-half-game lead ahead of the Las Vegas Aces for the No. 2 seed.
In other words, there's very little room for error as seeds two through five are separated by 1.5 games. The Lynx enter today's matchup as 5.5-point favorites at home as they lead the regular season series against the Valkyries 3-0.
Next up, the Atlanta Dream (24-13) will face the Los Angeles Sparks (13-24) on the road. The Sparks have already been eliminated from playoff contention and the Dream have clinched a playoff berth. It's a high-stakes game for Atlanta as they sit fourth in the standings. The Dream have a slight lead over the Fever but remain just one game back of the Aces for the No. 3 seed.
Today, Atlanta enters the game as a 10.5-point favorite as they are 8-2 against the Sparks over the last 10 meetings and 2-0 against them this season.

I'm locking in the Minnesota Lynx to cover the 4.5-point spread against the Valkyries.
The Lynx are the team to beat. Sitting at the No. 1. spot in the standings, Minnesota has a 31-7 record and is riding a six-game win streak. With that, they rank second in the WNBA in offensive rating (113.9), defensive rating (103.2), and first in NET rating (10.7).
Led by Olivia Miles, Kayla McBride, Napheesa Collier, and Natasha Howard, Minnesota is this good.
The Lynx also own the best point differential in the WNBA (+8.8), and there are no signs of slowing down. 9-0 SU against the Valkyries since 2025, the Lynx lead the series 3-0 this season. In addition, Minnesota has been decent covering, boasting a 20-16 ATS record and 2-1 ATS record against Golden State.
Golden State may be the second-ranked team in the standings and own the WNBA's best defense, but they are vulnerable. Not only have they lost two in a row to the Sky (thanks to Sydney Taylor) and the Lynx, but they've been unable to cover the spread in either game.
Along with the losses, Gabby Williams has gone ice cold. She's the Valkyries' top player on both ends of the court, and has undeniably been in a slump. Over the last two games, she's averaging just 6.0 points per game, while shooting 19% from the field and 12.5% from deep. Now she faces a Lynx team that boasts the second-best defensive rating in the league.
Courtney Williams is out tonight, which leaves a void in terms of pace, shot creation, defense and facilitating. However, the Lynx get another home matchup and are 17-15-1 ATS as favorites.
I'm locking in Angel Reese to record over 20.5 points and assists today against the Sparks.
Reese is having another solid season, averaging a career-high 16.1 points, along with 12.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.8 steals. Starting all 36 games in her first season in Atlanta, she's shooting 44.1% from the field and 18% from beyond the arc. Yes, that 3-point percentage is rather low, but Reese's 3-point attempts have increased, especially post-All-Star break.
On Saturday, Reese delivered a career-high 31 points paired with 14 rebounds and two assists in the Dream's 99-89 win over the Mercury. We did cash on Reese points, who punished the Mercury's lack of size the entire night. In 35 minutes, she shot 14-of-21 from the field, 0-of-4 from three, and 3-of-5 from the line.
It's safe to say Reese is playing the best basketball of her career, and today is a must-win for Atlanta. Recording 20+ points in three straight games, Reese is averaging 24.0 points, 4.7 assists, and 34.7 minutes over that span, while shooting 67.4% from the floor and 42.9% from three.
More impressively, Reese is putting up 18.4 points, 3.4 assists, and 33 minutes since the All-Star break. She not only boasts a career-best 25.6% usage rate, but she also is logging heavy minutes (31.1 MPG). Specifically, Reese is playing an average of 35.5 minutes over the last four games.
For this player prop to clear, her minutes, usage, and shot volume all convince me here. Brionna Jones remains out for the Dream, so expect Reese to see a bulk of the touches inside. Not only is she coming off 21 field goal attempts last game, but she is also averaging 14.8 FGA and 5.0 FTA over the last four games.
If we look at the stats, Reese has cleared over 16.5 points in 53% of games this season. Call her "Point Reese," but we've seen Angel take the ball up more and often facilitate as the season goes on. Assist-wise, she's cleared 4+ dimes in three of the last five games, averaging 4.2 assists over the past five games.
Really, when I mean assists, I don't mean one or two. Eight assists against the Sparks and six against the Fever wasn't by accident.
And if we break it down, Reese just delivered 20 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in the 124-88 victory over the Sparks four days ago. In 30 minutes, she nearly recorded a triple-double while shooting 9-of-9 from the field, 2-of-2 from three, and had zero attempts from the line. That number well passed the current 20.8 points and assists prop. And even in a blowout, Reese still logged 30 minutes.
I think this is a strong matchup for Reese, who will face one of the worst defenses in the WNBA. In 2026, the Sparks rank No. 13 in defensive rating (112.1). We are talking about a team that's headed for a rebuild post-Kelsey Plum era. Not only do they allow teams to score 92.9 points per game (second-most), but the Sparks also struggle to contain centers. LA allows the most assists to centers (3.9 per game) and Reese (20 points) and Olivia Nelson-Ododa (18 points) had success this past week.
For my third-best bet, I'm taking Allisha Gray to record 2+ made threes against the Sparks.
Gray is having a career year, averaging 19.4 points, while shooting 46.2% from the field and 32.7% from beyond the arc.
Yes, her 3-point efficiency is down from years past. Gray is a 35.1% career 3-point shooter. Even so, her 3-point volume is still substantial under head coach Karl Smesko's heavy offense. In 2026, she's averaging 1.8 3PM on 5.4 3PA in 32.9 minutes per game.
The efficiency may not be great, but the shot volume and minutes are there. 27.2% of her shots are 3-pointers, which is less than years past. With that, Gray has been productive this month, averaging 20.4 points while shooting 36.8% from three on 4.2 3-point attempts per game.
There's no question that Gray's shot volume has been a bit volatile, but we've seen her with 8, 7, 9, and 8 3-point attempts against the Mercury, Fever, and Mystics this month. And one could argue that Gray added 13 points and shot just 1-of-2 from three in Atlanta's 124-88 massacre over the Sparks.
I will say that Gray played just 23 minutes in what was a blowout from the beginning. On July 13 against the Sparks, Gray scored 20 points, shooting 3-of-6 from three in 33 minutes. While that was a close game by nine points, the minutes factor will be substantial today.
Gray is one of the best scorers in the WNBA, and excels in creating her shot and in transition. Unless it's a blowout, I think this prop line is a steal. Not only has Gray cleared this line in four of the last five games, but she is averaging 2.6 made threes over that span.
Losing Plum hurt, but can Erica Wheeler, Ariel Atkins or Rae Burrell truly defend Gray on the perimeter? The Sparks allow the most points to guards per game combined (46.8), including 15.6 3-point attempts per game.
