  • The New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces will match up for the first time this season.

One of the best brewing WNBA rivalries features the New York Liberty (11-6, 5-2 away) and the Las Vegas Aces (12-4, 4-2 away).

These teams are very familiar with one another, as the Aces defeated the Liberty in the 2023 WNBA Finals. It's already been established that Las Vegas and New York will meet in the Commissioner's Cup Championship on June 30. It's a rematch of the 2023 Cup, where the Liberty defeated the Aces.

The Aces and Liberty sit near the top of the WNBA standings and feature several high-profile players, such as A'ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, and more.

The Liberty are slim 1.5-point underdogs on the road and are riding a two-game losing streak. Conversely, the Aces have won two straight games and are tied with the Atlanta Dream for the WNBA's second-best record at 12-4.

Oddsmakers tabbed the Aces as slight favorites at home, but the Liberty are 8-2 SU and 6-3-1 ATS against the Aces over their last 10 head-to-head meetings. Additionally, sportsbooks are predicting a high-scoring affair as the total is set at 177.5 points.

WNBA Player Props Bets (June 23)

  • Breanna Stewart OVER 18.5 Points (+100 Fanatics)
  • Jewell Loyd OVER 8.5 Points (-110 FanDuel)

New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces Player Prop Bets

A'ja Wilson UNDER 9.5 Rebounds

For my first bet today, I took Aces star A'ja Wilson to record under 9.5 rebounds against the Liberty.

Wilson is one of the WNBA's best rebounders and a four-time WNBA MVP. She ranks fourth in the WNBA in rebounds per game (9.1), and she's recorded eight double-doubles on the season.

I'm fading Wilson tonight, and here's why.

The gang is back together, and head coach Chris DeMarco has a relatively healthy Liberty squad back. New York is one of the more premier teams on the glass (35.6%), and averages 35.7 rebounds per game.

Similarly, the Aces are one of the best rebounding teams in the WNBA (35.7), led by A'ja Wilson and NaLyssa Smith.

Why I'm Betting on A'ja Wilson Today

Las Vegas has yet to face a team such as New York. The Liberty boast one of the most versatile and tallest lineups in the league. Now that Satou Sabally has been inserted into the starting lineup, four of New York's starters are at least 6'4". Jonquel Jones stands 6'6" tall.

We just saw the Liberty outrebound the Sparks 38-28, and they've been the most efficient team on the defensive glass (28 DRPG). New York also crushed the Atlanta Dream, 40-24, a team that's elite on the boards, led by Angel Reese. Over the last eight games, the Liberty have won the rebounding battle over the Sky (34-28), Fever (47-40), and the Sun (42-28).

Wilson is having another MVP-caliber season with 9.1 rebounds per game. That said, she's compiled 19 rebounds over the last two games and soared over 9.5 boards in three of the last four games.

I do think Las Vegas will be forced to deploy a bigger lineup that will include Cheyenne Parker-Tyus and either Stephanie Talbot or Brianna Turner. Plus, Jonquel Jones has been playing more around the perimeter, so that may force Wilson out of the paint.

I also think NaLyssa Smith will cut into Wilson's rebounds, as she's averaging 12.0 points and 6.6 rebounds. While she's gotten back on track with the Aces, Smith has been an effective rebounder, often cleaning up inside.

Final WNBA Betting Prediction: A'ja Wilson UNDER 9.5 Rebounds (-122 FanDuel)

Wilson will have to overcome the size of Leonie Fiebich, Breanna Stewart, Jonquel Jones, Satou Sabally, and Han Xu. In 2026, the New York Liberty are allowing the third-fewest rebounds to centers per game (8.4), and no center has recorded over 9.5 rebounds this season.

Only Angel Reese (9), Natasha Mack (9), and Aliyah Boston (9) came close to clearing this prop line, but fell short.

  • I'm taking A'ja Wilson to record under 9.5 rebounds today. Wilson has gone under 9.5 rebounds in three of the last five games. Let's lock this in for today.

Breanna Stewart OVER 18.5 Points

For my second-best bet, I'm taking Liberty star Breanna Stewart to record over 18.5 points against the Aces.

Yes, I know, most of you are wondering why I have Stewart to clear this prop line today. Here's why you should lock this in at +100.

It's okay to say Stewart's 3-point shooting has gone missing; she's shooting just 17.6% from beyond the arc, a career low. However, Stewart is averaging 45.1% from the field and 86.3% from the line.

It seems doom and gloom in a sport that relies heavily on 3-point shooting. Over the last two games, Stewart has shot 0-of-6 from three and 13-of-28 from the field.

Mind you, Stewart has scored back-to-back 18 and 16 points against the Sparks and Mystics. I know Los Angeles doesn't have the best defense, but Stewart nearly cleared this line, shooting 0-for-4 from the 3-point line.

Despite such low 3-point numbers, Stewart is averaging 19.4 points and 32.8 minutes per game. Let's not panic. Here's why.

Stewart has matched up with A'ja Wilson several times now, and should have Smith as a matchup some of the time. Over the last two meetings, Stewart scored 15 and 25 against the Aces. Granted, the Aces upgraded the frontcourt, but they've been forgiving to bigs in 2026.

This year, Las Vegas is giving up the second-most points to forwards (34.9), along with 11.3 3-point attempts per game. This is where Stewart could get back on track, as defense isn't the Aces main trait. Las Vegas not only ranks No. 8 in defensive rating (106.9), but opponents also shoot 35.6% from deep.

No forward has had a points prop line this high against Las Vegas this season. However, we did see Alyssa Thomas score 20 points in the season opener.

Final WNBA Betting Prediction: Breanna Stewart OVER 18.5 Points (+100 Fanatics)

Where Stewart excels is on the fast breaks and second-chance points, where she averages 1.8 points per game. She boasts a 26.7% usage rate and is averaging 6.3 FGM on 13.9 shot attempts per game.

In fact, Stewart (7.3 FTA) and Wilson are the best at getting to the free-throw line, and the Aces allow just under 19 FTA per game.

  • I'm taking Breanna Stewart to soar over 18.5 points today. She can look for the mismatches and get the mid-range shot, as she's shooting 52.7% from two-point shots. Yes, her 3-point shot is less efficient, but 59.4% of Stewart's shots come from two-pointers. While she's posting the lowest 3-point percentage of her career (17.4%), she's averaging the highest free-throw rate (32.4%) in her 10-year WNBA career. Expect a competitive matchup for Stewart against the Aces tonight. There's a reason why she leads New York in points (19.4) and field goal attempts per game (13.9).

Jewell Loyd OVER 8.5 Points

For my third-best bet, I'm taking Aces guard Jewell Loyd to record over 8.5 points against the Liberty. Loyd continues to come off the bench, averaging 7.6 points, while shooting 36.2% from the field and 32% from beyond the arc.

It's a fact that Loyd is averaging a career low in points, and her shooting percentages aren't exactly efficient. However, the Aces are missing bucket-getter Chennedy Carter, and the bench averages just 20.8 points per game.

Loyd doesn't have a choice but to step up against a Liberty team that has an incredible amount of depth. In fact, New York's bench puts up 25.1 points per game.

There's no question that Loyd's scoring has been up and down. However, she's fresh off a 14-point performance, shooting 5-of-7 from the field and 4-of-5 from three against a stingy Valkyries defense. Two games prior, Loyd delivered 21 points on 5-of-9 3-point shooting against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings.

Final WNBA Betting Prediction: Jewell Loyd OVER 8.5 Points (-110 FanDuel)

Loyd has now cleared this prop line in three of the last four games, averaging 10.7 PPG over that span. The minutes are there (28.9), and Loyd is recording 5.3 3-point attempts alone. The Liberty rank middle of the pack in defending the perimeter as opponents shoot 32.7%.

We just saw the Sparks defeat the Liberty, thanks to Nneka Ogwumike's game-winning 3-pointer, and the team shot 33% from deep.

  • I'm taking Jewell Loyd to soar over 8.5 points tonight. New York struggles with turnovers, and Loyd averages 1.3 points off turnovers alone. 53% of her shots come from above-the-break-3, a zone where opponents shoot 34% against New York. Plus, Loyd is shooting 56% in the restricted area, a zone where the Aces have struggled (65%). I like the matchup as Rae Burrell (19 points), Erica Wheeler, and Kelsey Plum combined for 46 points against New York. Chicago guards Sydney Taylor and Skylar Diggins combined for 43 points against the Aces. Let's lock this prop in.
