Today, the Toronto Tempo (5-5) will host the Chicago Sky (4-6) at home. For the evening matchup, the Portland Fire (6-6) will visit the Los Angeles Sparks (4-6) for a West Coast clash.
The Commissioner's Cup is underway, meaning every game and every point counts, literally. Both the Fire and Sparks are 0-2 in the Western Conference, while the Tempo (0-1) and Sky (1-1) chase the Liberty and Dream in the Eastern Conference. Cup games are played until June 17 and the championship game will take place on June 30.
Let's take a look at my three best bets, player prop picks, and predictions for the WNBA games on June 7. Including in this article are the full betting odds for each of today's matchups.
| Team vs. Team | Moneyline | Spread | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chicago Sky vs. Toronto Tempo | +134 / -164 | +3.5 / -3.5 | O/U 175.5 |
| Portland Fire vs. Los Angeles Sparks | +235 / -300 | +7.5 / -7.5 | O/U 175.5 |
If you're betting on the WNBA today, welcome!
Both games will air on local networks/WNBA League Pass as the Sky and Tempo kick off the day at 3 p.m. ET. Beginning at 7 p.m. ET, the Fire and Sparks will face off.

Today, I'm taking the Chicago Sky to cover the 4.5-point spread as underdogs against the Tempo on the road. Every point counts, and Chicago is just one game back of the Liberty for the top spot. Posting a -13 point differential, the probability of catching them is limited based on their upcoming schedule, but you never know.
Chicago has been underwhelming against the spread, 3-7 ATS in 2026, but is 3-2 ATS on the road.
This is the perfect spot for the Sky, who would benefit greatly if rookie Gabriela Jaquez returns from a knee injury, but she is a game-time decision.
Chicago hasn't been great, as it endured a five-game losing streak. Over that span, they failed to cover, and also didn't cover over the last six games. It's time to bounce back, right?
The Sky came back to life after an 85-80 victory over Connecticut and will now face the Tempo for the second time this season. Yes, Toronto rocked Chicago 111-104, which is a seven-point difference. Chicago was without Jaquez and Azurá Stevens.
On the flip side, the Tempo haven't been great, as they've lost three of their last four games, including a loss against the Liberty, 97-82.
If we want to really look at the stats, the Tempo posts a -1 NET rating, while the Sky has a -4.9 NET rating. Offensively, both teams have been miles apart, as Toronto boasts the third-best offense in the WNBA. Where they differ is on defense. Ranking No. 14 in defensive rating (111.1), the Tempo has allowed 90+ points to opponents in six of the last seven games, including 100 points to the Lynx and 97 points to New York.
The Sky offense can be iffy, but Stevens has increased her minutes, which is huge. Against Connecticut, she delivered 13 points and 10 rebounds in just 20 minutes.
Both the Tempo and Sky love to push the pace and score in transition, as both teams rank No. 3 and No. 4 in the WNBA. Where Chicago could really hurt Toronto is in the paint, given that the Tempo allows the most paint points per game (44.4).
Toronto takes care of the ball for the most part, averaging just 12.6 turnovers per game. The Sky forced 28 turnovers against the Sun. They thrive as a team scoring off turnovers as well, which ranks them fourth in the league (16.4). The biggest x-factor here will be Sydney Taylor, who can light it up from beyond the arc.
For my second-best bet, I'm taking Nyara Sabally to score over 9.5 points. Isabelle Harrison is due to possibly make her debut today, but it's unknown if she will and if she will be on a minutes restriction. Sabally has been leading Toronto's frontcourt due to injuries.
Sabally was the Game 5 2025 Finals hero, but she was also the unexpected hero in the 111-104 victory over the Sky last month. In 28 minutes, she put up a career-high 28 points, while shooting 11-of-14 from the field, 3-of-4 from three, and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.
Do I think she will have a repeat performance? No. Sabally has expanded her range, but that game was more of an outlier than anything. What I do know is that the Sky struggle in non-Kamilla Cardoso minutes, and Sabally was getting her way with everything. At one point, Chicago left her wide open, and she was fairly wide open in the pick-and-rolls with Marina Mabrey.
Also, there were several instances where Sabally flat-out beat Cardoso in the PNR, and Cardoso even left to double Mabrey, leaving Sabally open. Even putting in Elizabeth Williams didn't stop her.
I'm locking in Sabally, given her past performance against Chicago and the fact that this player prop line is below her season average of 11.8 points per game. Sabally is logging heavy minutes for Brondello when healthy (25.6), and she's averaging 7.0 paint points alone. 2.5 of those points come from second-chance points.
For my third-best bet, I locked in Nneka Ogwumike to record over 22 points and rebounds against the Fire.
This is the first time both teams will meet, and we've seen defensive growth from Emily Engstler. I'm also not hating the fact that Alex Sarama has Megan Gustafson in the starting five.
If this isn't a blowout, I like Ogwumike in this spot for two reasons. Not only is she averaging 27.5 points and rebounds this season, but the Fire allows the third-most rebounds to forwards per game (14.4).
Nneka can stretch the floor, and she's also averaging 7.6 paint points and 2.6 second-chance points per game. Despite Portland's hot start, they rank No. 12 in defensive rating (108.5). The Sparks thrive in interior scoring (41.2 points per game), and the Fire allow 35 points in the paint per game.
Nneka has soared over this line in three of four games now, and she shoots 52% from above-the-break 3 and 69% from the restricted area. This is more matchup-based, but I'm also okay with Ogwumike logging 32.1 minutes on 10.6 shot attempts.
