First up for today features Angel Reese's return to Chicago. The Atlanta Dream (7-3, 3-2 away) will face the Chicago Sky (4-7, 1-4 home) on the road. As much as the Sky has tried to change the narrative, it's been the same song and dance. Skylar Diggins recently voiced her struggles as Chicago has lost six of its last seven games.
The Sky will get a 7-3 Dream team, which has the WNBA's third-best record behind the Lynx and Aces. Chicago is all but eliminated from Commissioner's Cup play (1-2), while Atlanta remains in the running (2-1).
Today, the Dream are 8.5-point favorites on the road as both squads will clash for the first time this season.
Next up, the Dallas Wings (7-3, 4-1 away) will match up against the Minnesota Lynx (9-2, 4-2 home). There are a few storylines that headline this matchup: No. 1 overall pick Azzi Fudd (Wings) will match up against No. 2 overall pick Olivia Miles (Lynx) for the first time in their careers as WNBA starters. Second, the Lynx own the WNBA's best record at 9-2, but the Wings are tied for the third-best record at 7-3.
The Lynx lead the Western Conference Commissioner's Cup standings, but the Wings trail by just half a game. This matchup is crucial, and every point counts. Today, the Lynx are 4.5-point favorites at home.
Last, the Phoenix Mercury (4-8, 3-4 away) will play the Golden State Valkyries (6-5, 4-2 home). It's the second meeting of the season for these two teams as the Valkyries trounced the Mercury, 95-79, on May 10. It's been a disappointing season for the 2025 Finals runner-up, as Phoenix is well below .500. They've won two straight, and now face the Valkyries, who have lost two straight games.
Tonight, the Valkyries are 8.5-point favorites at home.
| Team vs. Team | Moneyline | Spread | Total |

Here are my three best bets, player prop picks, and predictions for the WNBA games on Tuesday, June 9.

Today, I'm laying with the points with the Atlanta Dream. Angel Reese, who was traded to the Dream in the offseason, will return to Chicago, where she was drafted in 2024. While that's the main storyline, the Sky's struggles have been well documented. The Sky has lost six of their last seven games, and frustration is mounting in the Windy City.
Atlanta has been fairly efficient with a 6-4 ATS record. As the favorites, they boast a 5-3 ATS. Conversely, the Sky has a 3-8 ATS record and 0-5 at home. It's not a great situation in Chicago right now.
The Sky are a middle-of-the-road defensive team, but rank 13th in offensive rating (98.1). We are talking about a team with a -6.2 NET rating that has struggled to create offense in the half-court. Yes, Dijonai Carrington, Rickea Jackson, and Courtney Vandersloot are out with injuries. However, you can only rely on transition points so much.
The Sky have Skylar Diggins, Kamilla Cardoso, Gabriela Jaquez, and more. There's no excuse for this team to average just 80.6 points per game.
Yes, I'm going to lay the points with the Dream here. Chicago has the third-worst field goal rate (41.1%) and the second-lowest 3-point percentage (26.3%) in the WNBA. It might be a coaching issue—time will tell.
Chicago is 0-7 ATS in its last seven games, and they haven't been particularly close. Over that span, Chicago's average scoring margin is -11.4 points. Not only did they recently lose to Toronto by 17 points, but they were trounced by the Lynx by 21 points.
On the flip side, the Dream are fresh off a 32-point victory over the Mystics in which they shot 48% from the field and 52% from three.
Atlanta is truly a nightmare matchup for Chicago, as the Dream boasts the second-best defensive rating (100.3) in the WNBA and the third-best NET rating (8.2).
Led by Rhyne Howard, Allisha Gray, Jordin Canada, and Angel Reese, Atlanta's defense is smothering. They allow just 79.3 points per game, and opponents are shooting just 29.5% from beyond the arc against them. Plus, they allow just 7.4 fast break points per game, which could be a problem for Chicago.
For my second-best bet, I'm taking Lynx rookie Olivia Miles to record over 6.5 assists. I love this line and value, so let's lock it in.
Named the WNBA's Western Conference Player of the Week, Miles is averaging 22 points per game and 7.7 assists this week. She's not only the top Rookie of the Year candidate, but has put up some MVP-esque numbers.
I didn't want to touch Miles' points prop line, which is set for 16.5. The Wings are playing some great defense over the last five games, and own the WNBA's third-best defensive rating (101) over that span. Plus, not one point guard has scored over 21 points since Courtney Williams on May 14.
Miles first recorded 15 points and six assists in 31.6 minutes against the Wings. Her game has since evolved, and so has her passing. Heck, even Cheryl Reeve has given Miles freedom as she's allowed Miles to call the plays and facilitate.
Miles has an incredible IQ and makes passes that resemble Aces star Chelsea Gray. Soaring over this assist prop line in two of the last three games, Miles has tallied 22 assists over the last three games, including nine and seven against the Mercury and Valkyries.
Efficient in the pick-and-roll, in transition, and drive and kick, Miles has the innate ability to read defenses well. Boasting a 30.6% assist percentage, she's elevated everyone around her. Courtney Williams is averaging a career-high 17.1 points per game and is two games removed from scoring 30 points against Phoenix. Plus, Natasha Howard has been eating in the paint with 17.1 points per game.
Even with Napheesa Collier sidelined, Miles has plenty of weapons around her, including Howard, Williams, Kayla McBride, Nia Coffey, and more. Now she gets a matchup against the Wings, who allow the most assists to guards in 2026 (13.1). Erica Wheeler, Chelsea Gray, Sabrina Ionescu, and Jordin Canada all recorded 6+ assists.
For my third-best bet, I'm taking Janelle Salaün to record over 2.5 3-pointers today.
Salaün has emerged as one of Golden State's top 3-point shooters and is one of the best 3-point snipers in the WNBA. In her second WNBA season, Salaün is averaging 13.9 points while shooting 40% from beyond the arc.
The Valkyries' second-leading scorer, Salaün, averages 2.7 threes on 6.8 3-point attempts. The volume is there, and she's averaging 23.5 minutes for head coach Natalie Nakase off the bench.
Am I really going to fade a player who's shooting 11-of-22 (50%) from beyond the arc over the last three games? Not to mention, she boasts a 24.3% usage rate and faces a Phoenix team that's struggled defensively.
Not only does the Mercury allow the second-most three-point attempts to forwards per game (12.1), but Salaün has soared over this prop line in five straight games. Over that span, she's recorded 17 threes!
In 2026, Salaün is tied with Marine Johannés for the third-most threes on the season (30), and ranks among the top-five players in 3-point attempts (77).
Even with Alyssa Thomas at the helm, the Mercury allows the highest 3-point percentage to opponents this season (38.4%). They allow 10.2 threes per game.
