It's Wednesday, and there's one game on the WNBA slate!

Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings (9-26, 4-12 away) will face Kelsey Plum and the Los Angeles Sparks (16-18, 6-10 home).
Tabbed as large 8.5-point spread and -350 moneyline favorites, the Sparks get another matchup at home. With less than one month remaining in the regular season, this is a crucial game for the Sparks. At 16-18, LA is just one game back of the Seattle Storm for the eighth and final playoff seed.
6-4 in their last 10 games, the Sparks are coming off a 95-86 loss against the Washington Mystics. Now they face a Dallas team who are all but eliminated from playoff contention.
After losing Li Yueru to a season ending ACL injury, the Wings will remain without Arike Ogunbowale, who's been diagnosed with tendinitis in her right knee. With just nine players available, the Wings get a fully healthy Sparks team.
That includes Cameron Brink, who will most likely remain on a minutes restriction under head coach Lynne Roberts.
Although Bueckers and company are coming off a 106-87 loss against A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces—Dallas kept the previous two games within one point. Having suffered a 97-96 loss against the Sparks, they defeated the Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever, 81-80.
With both teams trending in opposite directions, the Sparks lead the regular season series 2-0, and look to remain competitive in the playoff race. Matching their win total from last season, the Wing's year is all but done.

My first best bet for today, I placed one unit on the Los Angeles Sparks to cover the first quarter 2.5-point favorable spread against the Dallas Wings.
The Sparks are favored to win this game by 8.5 points, and the books aren't expecting a close one. However, the Wings did come within one point in the 97-96 loss against the Sparks on August 15. Therefore, I chose to veer away from the game spread.
I like this team bet for multiple reasons. The Sparks produce the third best first quarter offense in the WNBA, ranking No.3 in offensive rating (107.1). With that, they score the third highest first-quarter points behind the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx with 22.1 points.
The Sparks have elite shooters in Kelsey Plum, Cam Brink, Rae Burrell, and Azurà Stevens just to name a few. LA holds the highest first-quarter 3-point percentage (38.5 %), which is in their favor today.
Soaring over this bet in both matchups, the Sparks outscored the Wings 32-27, and 21-17 in both first-quarters. Now, they face a Dallas team who will certainly be without Arike Ogunbowale and Li Yueru.
That's not to say Dallas can't hold their own, in fact they put up 96 points against the Sparks without Ogunbowale last meeting. However, the Sparks are the superior team on paper, and are at full health.
Although the Wings score the fifth most first-quarter points in the WNBA (21.1), they allow the second most points in the league (21.9). Not to mention, they allow the HIGHEST first-quarter 3-point percentage (37.4 %).
The Sparks have been more of a come from behind team lately, losing the first quarter to the Sun, Storm, Valkyries, and Mystics. However, the Wings have been outscored by a total of nine points the last two matchups against the Aces (4) and Sparks (5).

My second best bet for today, I placed one unit on Dallas Wings rookie star Paige Bueckers to record over 18.5 points against the LA Sparks.
Bueckers has been one of the bright spots in her rookie season amid a miserable season in Dallas. The Rookie of the Year front-runner, Bueckers has been one of the most consistent players in the league.
This is who Paige Bueckers is. She was incredible efficient at UConn, and although her shooting percentages have dipped from her college days, there's a reason why she was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
Scoring 10+ points in all 28 games this season, Bueckers leads all rookies with 18.8 points per game. Better yet, she's been sensational over the back half of the season.
In 10 games post All-Star break, Bueckers is averaging 19.5 points, shooting 47.9 percent from the field, and 96.6 percent from the charity stripe. Although Bueckers has declined somewhat shooting the rock from beyond the arc (31 %), she's been an efficient ball handler and volume shooter.
Plus, her shot volume has increased to 16 FGA in August. While the Wings may sign a player to a hardship contract after today's game, Bueckers will continue to have to step up in the absence of both Arike Ogunbowale and Li Yueru.
In six games without Ogunbowale, Bueckers is averaging 19 points and 16.7 field goal attempts. In this time, she's shooting 42 percent from the field.
Effective on ball in the mid range off screens, or off ball—Bueckers is fearless. Soaring over this player prop just once in the last four games, Bueckers has a solid matchup against LA.
While the Sparks are a top offensive team, they struggle defensively. Ranked No. 12 in defensive rating (109.1), this is a Sparks team that allows the most points scored in the WNBA (88.8 PPG)!
Even with a backcourt duo of Kelsey Plum and Julie Allemand, the Sparks allow the most points to guards, including the second most 3-pointers.
In their lone matchup, Bueckers erupted for 29 points in the Wing's 97-96 loss against LA on Friday. In 33 minutes, Bueckers shot 12-21 (57.1 %) from the floor, making all five of her free-throw shots.
The Sparks backcourt has improved, holding guards to under 18 points since Kelsey Mitchell (34 points) on August 5. However, Bueckers has been ruthless no matter the opponent.
We've seen her score 18 against the Aces, and 21 and 22 against the Liberty Dream, and Fever.
GP: 34 | PPG: 18 | FG: 57.3 % | FT: 61.4 % | 3PT :30.4 % | REB: 7.7 | AST: 3.4 | STL: 1.6 | BLK: 0.5
My third best bet for today, I placed one unit on Los Angeles Sparks forward Dearica Hamby to record over 17.5 points against the Dallas Wings.
Unless tonight is a blowout, I'm high on this player prop for several reasons.
The Dallas Wings frontcourt gets even thinner after Li Yueru suffered an ACL injury. Unable to sign a player to a hardship contract tonight, the Wings will be vastly undersized. With Luisa Geiselsoder and Hayley Jones holding down the frontcourt, perhaps the Diamond Miller trade will pay out in the absence of Yueru.
I'm expecting Cam Brink to continue to play under a minute restriction, and she's been averaging 10-12 minutes per game. Therefore, I don't expect her to cut into Hamby's production.
Speaking of production, Hamby and Azurà Stevens are the top scoring duo in the league for a reason. Overall, Hamby has been on a tear, delivering a 26-point performance against the Washington Mystics on Sunday.
Soaring over this player prop line in four straight games, Hamby has scored 20+ points in three straight games, and is averaging a season best 19.9 points per game in August! Not to mention, she's shooting 60.4 percent from the field this month!
Aforementioned, Hamby should feast today, unless it's a blowout. Now without Yueru, the Wings lose a ton of size. With that, the Wings allow the most points to forwards, and A'ja Wilson recently erupted for 34 points against Dallas.
Overall, Hamby has cleared this prop line in two matchups against Dallas this season, tallying 20 points in each. Even in the Spark's 93-79 victory over the Wings in June, Hamby shot an efficient 8-12 from the field, and 4-8 from the free-throw line in just 25 minutes.
