Between blockbuster trades, the NBA Draft and daily pitching changes in baseball, oddsmakers' heads have to be spinning when trying to keep up with favorites to win the WNBA championship.
Heading into Tuesday night's lone game in Las Vegas, where the defending champion Aces hosted the New York Liberty, the Minnesota Lynx were the unanimous choice.

After the Liberty's dominant 87-76 win over the defending champs, the odds have shifted.
At FanDuel, the Lynx are still favored, but have dropped from +260 +210 to hoist the Tiffany & Co. crafted WNBA Championship Trophy. The Liberty are second at +290, while the Aces went from +330 to +360. Rounding out the top five are the Atlanta Dream (+750) and Dallas Wings (+1700).
At DraftKings, the Lynx are favored at +290. The Liberty and Aces are both at +300. The Dream are fourth at +650 and the Wings and Indiana Fever are both +1400.
In Las Vegas, at BetMGM, the Lynx and Liberty are the co-favorites at +275, with the Aces close by at +300. The Dream are situated in fourth at +800 with the Wings a distance +1300, barely in front of the Fever (+1350).
"What Minnesota has done, led by Olivia Miles in the absence of Napheesa Collier, has been remarkable and vaulted them into the role of title favorites," said a Las Vegas-based risk management supervisor, who wished to remain anonymous. "Over the next week, the Aces and Liberty play twice, and how those play out can affect favoritism at the top."

Here is a breakdown of who to consider, the sleepers, and who to stay away from:
(Odds courtesy FanDuel)
Minnesota Lynx (+210): To think the Lynx are doing what they're doing without Napheesa Collier is mindboggling. Did they lose to Las Vegas? Yes. Did they just lose to the Mystics? Yep. We're 17 games into the season, and they're going to have stutter steps. But the Lynx, right now, are the most dangerous team in the league and the most valuable to win it all at this price, because those odds won't last when Collier becomes active.
New York Liberty (+290): The Liberty are just getting their legs underneath them, and could go on a run with Sabrina Ionescu finding her groove. Knowing Ionescu, it's the fact that she started her season in a funk that makes her more dangerous. Tuesday night, she turned in a double-double against the defending champs. Aside from the Liberty catching value at this point, Ionescu is someone to watch on the prop chart.
Las Vegas Aces (+360): If you back the Aces, keep this in mind: Every time they dip to third on the futures list, drop the same unit on them to win it all. If your bet is $50, play that amount every time. If it's $100 or $500 - same deal. You can never - ever - count out the greatest player in the world, as we saw last season, when A'ja Wilson sent one group text, got her message across and led the team to 16 straight wins and an eventual championship parade down Las Vegas Boulevard. Oh, and when Dana Evans comes back, watch out!

Atlanta Dream (+750): There is a certain fanbase that won't like to hear this, but the Dream got better when Angel Reese arrived. She doesn't have to be the star or feel the weight on her shoulders with a team that has superstars like Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard. Reese is a double-double machine with an improved offensive game, and she will help this team get into the postseason.
Dallas Wings (+1700): Until Lynx rookie Olivia Miles entered a specific conversation, Paige Bueckers was the best rookie we had seen since Wilson was drafted first overall by the Aces in 2018. Now, Bueckers is the best second-year player we've seen in the same span. And when you consider Arike Ogunbowale is still one of the most dangerous scorers in the league, and the supporting cast in place, this team poses a lot of problems for teams like Minnesota, New York and Las Vegas.
Golden State Valkyries (+1700): The Valkyries are an entirely different team than the one that debuted in 2025. That version made the postseason. This season, they're not a secret, and teams have coach Natalie Nakase figured out. The problem for those teams, Nakase is one of the smartest coaches in the league. She may not be in the same tier as Becky Hammon, Cheryl Reeve and Sandy Brondello without experience, but she's one of the smartest, and this team will find its way into the postseason.
Los Angeles Sparks (+7500): When it comes to value, this is the team with bigger odds to watch. Imagine having a $500 ticket that would pay $20,000, and being one hedge bet away from having a free investment on the veteran-laden Sparks to win it all. This is a team led by Kelsey Plum, Nneka Ogwumike and Dearica Hamby - a trio with a combined four WNBA championships and 17 All-Star nominations. And with a young corps supporting that trio, it'll be interesting to see how this team progresses.

Indiana Fever (+1900): The Fever have a long way to go before they're winning a championship. Having strong pieces doesn't mean the puzzle will be completed, especially when you're trying to fit a corner piece into the middle. Keep in mind, this is based on what we're witnessing right now, with what seems to be a lack of cohesiveness at times. Nobody in their right mind can honestly believe this team has a championship mindset. You can't have the No. 1 scoring offense (92.1 ppg.) allowing the league's third-highest points per game (88.9). You also can't have the face of the franchise arguing every other whistle. That all said, if this team irons out the wrinkles and focuses on basketball rather than drama, it moves into the sleeper field. Until then, no thanks.

Phoenix Mercury (+12500): With all due respect to Bengamin Button, this has become The Curious Case of The Runner Up. Coach Nate Tibbetts has the star power, but the loss of Satou Sabally to free agency is glaring.
Washington Mystics (+22500): It's hard not to like this team and its competitive nature. The Mystics opened the season winning two of three, including an overtime loss to the Liberty, but then lost six of nine. A current three-game road win streak, including upsets in Brooklyn and Minneapolis, raises an eyebrow. But sustainability is the biggest question.
Chicago Sky (+30000): Losing Rickea Jackson is taking a toll on coach Tyler Marsh, who has some impressive veterans to rely on. Skylar Diggins and Natasha Cloud are two of the smartest players in the league, and Marsh could benefit from consultations with them. But a current six-game losing skid that includes that gut-wrenching collapse against the Wings could define the season.
Toronto Tempo (+30000): This was a team with promise after seeing how Brittney Sykes saw her career reinvigorated. Her plantar fascia injury, coupled with rookie Kiki Rice's Grade 3 left ankle sprain, severely damaged what coach Sandy Brondello was building.
Portland Fire (+50000): The Fire opened the season winning five of their first eight, but film sessions for the opposition clearly did them in. They've now lost six of nine and seen their offensive efficiency suffer. Since scoring 83.8 points per game on .451 shooting over their first eight games, they're averaging 80.9 ppg. on .440 shooting.
Seattle Storm (+50000): One has to wonder if general manager Talisa Rhea is questioning the hire of coach Sonia Raman. Want to blame a three-win start through 18 games on injuries or scheduling? Well, everyone is dealing with those things. But this is the lowest-scoring team in the league. Perspective: the team's .413 shooting percentage is the franchise's fifth-lowest through 18 games in franchise history. Under the same criteria, its -128 point differential is the third-worst ever. Sighhhhh, where are you Noelle Quinn.
Connecticut Sun (+50000): Houston! We have a problem.
