Publish Date: Aug 01, 2026

Key Points
  • Seven players have recorded 10+ rebounds eight times against the Chicago Sky in July (nine games).
  • Five players have recorded 10+ rebounds against Las Vegas six times this month (nine games); five of them went over 23.5 Pts + Reb (two did so with points alone).
  • Eight players scored 20+ points/game against the New York Liberty in July (9 games); Kahleah Copper has recorded 20+ points in 12 of her last 15 games.

Want a reason to stay inside and beat Saturday’s heat? The WNBA has two early games you can watch from the comfort of an air-conditioned room—or one with a big fan. You can make them more exciting by betting on one of our WNBA Player Prop picks. Sportsbooks, of course, have plenty of markets available for you to choose from. A’ja Wilson (Aces), Over 10.5 Rebounds (-108 FanDuel)

A'ja Wilson has not been hitting the boards as well this season (9.7 per game) as she did the last two (2025—10.2 per game; 2024—11.9 per game). She has recorded 10+ in just 14 of the 26 games she has played in this season and has gone over this mark in just 10 of 26. In fact, she has gone over this total in just one of her last four games and in four of her last 15.

On the surface, it sounds like I should be promoting the Under for this prop. So, how come I’m going with the Over?

The 15-rebound game she had back on June 28 has something to do with it. She went over this prop in four of seven games against the Sky the last two seasons. But Chicago was the No. 2 rebounding team in 2025 and the No. 1 unit in 2024. This season, after trading away Angel Reese, the Sky are tenth in rebounding (32.3 per game).

As a team that has dominated on the boards over the last two years, opponents averaged 33.8 (fifth) and 32.6 (third). This year, teams are averaging 37.3 (dead last). They’ve done a little better in July at 35.3 but still rank last in the league.

Seven players have recorded 10+ rebounds eight times against the Sky this month. Of those eight, half were over this total. Wilson is averaging more per game this season than all four. She had 15 against the Sky roughly a month ago. I wouldn’t bank on her pulling down 15 again, but she’ll go over this total today.

Kamilla Cardoso, Over 23.5 Pts + Reb (-108 FanDuel)

Kamilla Cardoso is averaging 14.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season and has combined to go over this total in 13 of 27 games she has played in this season. But she has gone over it in eight of her last 13 games and did so in both games vs. the Aces this season.

Vegas isn’t known for its defense, but the Aces do not have a bad unit by any means. So far this season, they rank seventh in points allowed (86.7 per game) and eighth in opponents' rebounds (33.3 per game allowed). In July, their numbers were similar (34 rebounds and 87.3 points per game allowed).

So, plenty of teams have done worse, but plenty have been better. But that is not why I’m picking Cardoso to go over this total. While she is capable of putting up solid numbers on anyone, she is just as prone to having lackluster nights, too. After all, she has finished under (14) this total in more games than she’s gone over it (13).

But the Sky will be without Azura Stevens and Skylar Diggins. Stevens led Chicago in rebounds in July (7.9 per game in eight games; 13.5 points per game). Diggins played in one game, scoring 19 and pulling down one rebound.  That’s a lot of production that someone needs to account for.

Now Cardoso will probably not account for most of it, but there is a greater chance that her stats will benefit from Stevens and Diggins being out. That’s why I’m taking the over.

Kahleah Copper, Over 21.5 Points (-110 FanDuel)

Points have been hard to come by for Phoenix this season (83.2 per game; 11th best). But their offensive efforts were even less productive in July (81.7 points per game; 13th). Part of the problem is a lack of shooters on the roster. They rank tenth in field goal percentage this season (44.1%) but did a little better in July (45.2%) and still ranked tenth.

But to compound the issue, they do not shoot much. The Mercury rank second-to-last in shot attempts this season (65.3 per game) and were last in July (64.9). However, they do have one shooter, Kahleah Copper. Her field goal percentage for the season is not impressive (43.5%).

However, she had a solid July (51.7%). Since she takes the most shots per game on the roster (16.1 per game in July), and makes roughly half of them, she averaged a respectable 22.1 points per game, a little less than a basket over her season average of 20.7 PPG.

Of course, taking the over is not just about how well Copper has played. It’s just as much about how the New York defense has not been too impressive this season. Teams are averaging 87.9 points per game against them this season (ninth best). Last season, teams averaged 80.3, and the year before 76.5.

In July, they struggled even more, allowing teams to score 96.5 points per game (second-to-last). Three scored 100+ points, including their last two. Copper scored 19 and 16 vs. the Liberty in two games in May, but New York was playing solid defense then (83.2 PPG allowed in May; fifth best).

Against that team, I’d say skip this prop. But against the defense fans have seen the Liberty play in July, take the over without hesitation.
