The Indiana Fever (19-16, 10-8) will host the Minnesota Lynx (28-7, 11-6 away) tonight. Without Caitlin Clark, the Fever will be without Aari McDonald, Sydney Colson, and Sophie Cunningham due to season-ending injuries. Sitting at the No. 6 seed, the Fever are just one game ahead of the Golden State Valkyries.
With nine games remaining, the Fever have a tough schedule ahead. Set to face the Lynx three more times, they will have to play through the Storm, Sparks, Mercury, and Vallkyries. If the season were to end today, the Fever would play the Las Vegas Aces, who are the No. 3 seed.
Having already clinched a playoff berth, the Lynx have a firm 5.5 game lead over the Atlanta Dream for the No.1 seed. Without Napheesa Collier, the Lynx are riding a two-game losing streak against the Dream and Liberty. Tabbed as 6.5-point spread and -275 moneyline favorites on the road, the Lynx only loss to the Fever came in the July 1 Commissioners Cup Championship.
Up next, Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings (9-27, 5-13 home) will host the Seattle Storm (18-18, 10-8 away) in Arlington, Texas. Although eliminated from playoff contention, Bueckers is coming off a historic 44-point performance in the 81-80 heartbreaking loss against the Sparks. Riding a three-game losing streak, the Wings get the Storm, who are favored by 7.5 points today. With a record of 2-1 in their last three games, this is a critical game for Seattle. Holding onto the eighth and final playoff seed by just half a game, it's a must-win for Seattle.
For the late-night showdown, the Phoenix Mercury (21-14, 11-6 home) will host the Golden State Valkyries (18-17, 8-10 away) in the Valley. The books aren't expecting this to be a close matchup; the Mercury are -285 moneyline favorites at home. After losing Kahleah Copper to a possible rib injury, the Mercury are fresh off a 83-61 loss against A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces. Straight off two consecutive losses, the Valkyries get the Mercury on back-to-back, and this matchup is crucial for both sides.
The Mercury currently hold the No.5 seed, while the Valkyries have the No. 7 spot. A win or loss on either side could shift the standings.

Let's cash out on these player prop picks today!
Are you looking to bet on WNBA player props all season long? Here at Ballislife Bets, we've gathered a complete list of the best sports betting offers here.
GP: 35 | PPG: 15.2 | FG: 53.9 % | FT: 79.5 % | 3PT: 20.8 % | REB: 8.3 | AST: 3.6 | STL:0.9 | BLK: 1.1
My first best bet for today, I placed one unit on Indiana Fever star forward Aliyah Boston to record over 8.5 rebounds against the Minnesota Lynx.
This is a fair matchup for Boston, who faces a Lynx team who could possibly be without Napheesa Collier once again. Without Collier, I like this player prop even more.
The Lynx have defensive juggernaut in Alanna Smith, and now have Jessica Shepard stepping up in Collier's absence. Even so, the Lynx allow the second most rebounds to centers. Last matchup, Shepard was monstrous on the glass, however, the Atlanta Dream dominated on the boards. With that, Brittney Griner erupted for eight boards off the bench, and Naz Hillmon tallied nine.
The matchup prior, Liberty frontcourt duo Jonquel Jones and Emma Meesseman combined for 17 total rebounds. While the Lynx defense can be suffocating at times, the Lynx rank middle of the road in terms of production on the boards (34.3 RPG).
Amid all of the injuries, Boston has been massive on the boards for the Fever. Coming off a 14-point, 13-rebound performance against the Connecticut Sun, Boston has recorded 22 boards in the last two games alone!
Not to mention, she's cleared this player prop line in six of eight games this month. Plus, her efficiency on the offensive boards has been far greater in August. In eight games this month, she's averaging 2.8 offensive rebounds and 9.0 total rebounds.
It's hard to believe this player prop bet is nearly plus money. With a thin roster, Boston has far established herself as the Fever's leading rebounder even next to Natasha Howard, Damiris Dantas, and Makayla Timpson. Without Clark, the Fever no doubt lose one of the best rebounding guards in the WNBA.
Boston has been incredible post All-Star break, averaging 9.8 rebounds per game, up from 7.6 RPG post break. With a considerable increase on the defensive end, Boston is averaging 6.3 DREB alone. Now she gets a Lynx team, who she's faced just one time this season.
In the Fever's 74-59 Commissioners Cup victory over the Lynx on July 1, Boston recorded 12 points, 11 rebounds, five of which game on the offensive end. Mind you, this was with Collier, Smith, Shepard, and Maria Kliundikova. We are talking about a player that's averaging 11.1 rebounds per 40 minutes.
The Fever are the top second chance scoring team (12.3 PPG), and that's in large part due to Aliyah Boston. Given the Lynx allow the second most second-chance points per game (11.3 PPG), this is a great spot for Boston. Over that last three games, Boston has tallied nine offensive rebounds alone.
GP: 31 | PPG: 7.3 | FG: 44.2 % | FT: 81.8 % | 3PT: 34.5 % | REB: 4.8 | AST: 1.6 | STL: 0.7 | BLK: 0.8
My second best bet for today, I'm taking Dallas Wings center Luisa Geiselsöder to record over 1.5 made threes against the Seattle Storm today.
This may not be the flashiest or most popular bet, however this has great value at +138 odds on FanDuel.
Geiselsöder has become a bona fide starter for head coach Chris Koclanes, and has been a consistent presence in the frontcourt for the Dallas since Eurobasket.
Now, I want to turn my attention to her given the Wings' frontcourt shrunk even more with the ACL injury to Li Yueru. At 6 foot 4, Geiselsöder not only provided some incredible interior defense against the Sparks last game, she's elite in stretching the floor. Starting 21 of 25 games for the Wings, Geiselsöder joins Hayley Jones in the starting frontcourt alongside Maddy Siegrist.
The Wings don't have a ton of front court depth, and Koclanes chose to play newly acquired Diamond Miller for just two minutes last matchup. And that's not to say Geiselsöder isn't guaranteed minutes, Coming off 36 minutes, her playing time has been all over the place.
One things for certain. Geiselsöder has been fairly consistent in her scoring, and has been a force beyond the arc for the Wings. She gives Dallas a boost beyond the perimeter, given they are one of the least efficient 3-point shooting teams in the WNBA (31.8 %). With that said, Geiselsöder is third behind Arike Ogunbowale and Paige Bueckers in 3-point attempts per game (3.6). Now with Arike out with knee tendinitis, I see increased production for Geiselsöder
Overall, Geiselsöder is getting some decent looks beyond the arc, shooting 3-6 from three against the Sparks, and totaling 16 3-pointers over the last three games. Shooting 37 percent from beyond the arc post All-Star, she's 43.3 percent from deep over the last three games.
Now she gets a Seattle Storm team, who allow the second most points and fifth most 3-pointers to centers. Even with Nneka Ogwumike, Ezi Magbegor, and Dominique Malonga, the Storm have struggled to contain centers.
GP: 31 | PPG: 11.7 | FG: 39 % | FT: 87.8 % | 3PT: 38.3 % | REB: 4.2 | AST: 5.4 | STL: 1.1 | BLK: 0.4
My third best bet for today, I placed one unit on Golden State Valkyries guard Veronica Burton to record over 17.5 points and assists against the Phoenix Mercury today.
Burton's path hasn't been easy, and she's finally found a home in the Valkyries. With that, she's one of my top Most Improved Candidates for the 2025 WNBA season.
The Valkyries have dealt with injuries and hardship contracts all season long. First losing Kayla Thornton, now the team announced Monique Billings will remain out for three additional weeks.
What makes this Valkyries team work is their defense, hustle, and grit, something Burton possesses. Averaging 11.7 points per game, we are talking about a player than averaged less than four points a game one year ago.
She's not only improved as a player, she's a crucial part of Golden State's success. In the absence of injuries, she's stepped up big time—erupting for a career-high 30 points against the Mystics, and 24 points and 14 assists against the Mercury on Tuesday.
With Carla Leite listed as questionable, Burton may have an even bigger role carved out tonight. Even so, the Mercury will possibly be without Kahleah Copper, and Phoenix allows the third and fourth most points and assists to guards.
Burton now get's the Mercury once again for the second time in four games. In three matchups, we've seen her soar well over this player prop line in all of them. In three head-to-head matchups, she's averaging 19 points, and 7.3 assists. While the Mercury are a solid defensive team, Burton is shooting nearly 39 percent from three against them!
Given the level she's playing at, I do believe the books are sleeping on this line, and Burton can crush this from a points perspective alone.
The first player in WNBA history to record 24+ points, 14+ assists, with zero turnovers—Burton is averaging 20.2 points alone over the last four matchups. Plus, that includes an average of 7.0 dimes. A two-way threat, she was eventually guarded by Mercury guard Monique Akoa Makani in the final quarter last game. However, I'm not fading her today.
