WNBA Player Props Today (July 8): Best Bets, Odds & Predictions Featuring Gabby Williams and Natasha Howard

Publish Date: Jul 08, 2026
Fact checked by: Matt Moreno
Key Points
  • Gabby Williams leads the Golden State Valkyries with 15.3 points per game. Her first-quarter total is 2.5 points tonight in Toronto. Will she get to three points in the first 10 minutes?
  • Minnesota's Natasha Howard is averaging 17.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, but she arrives in Connecticut after scoring 12.5 and grabbing 6.0 boards in back-to-back losses. Can she go over 24.5 Points + Rebounds tonight?
  • Indiana's Kelsey Mitchell has made three or more 3-pointers in her last four games. Her 3-point total is 2.5 tonight when the Fever visit the Los Angeles Sparks.

Three games highlight the WNBA card, including a doubleheader on USA Network. Tipping things off will be Golden State and Toronto north of the border, as the third-place Valkyries enter dangerous territory against the ninth-place Tempo.

Losers of two straight, the Tempo are in the middle of a season-long eight-game homestand and will be looking to get back on track against what might be a travel-weary Valks squad that is playing its third road game in five nights after stops in Atlanta and D.C. The game tips at 7 p.m. Eastern and can be seen on WNBA League Pass.

The Minnesota Lynx are looking for revenge against the league-worst Connecticut Sun in the second game of a home-and-home series. The Sun shocked Minnesota on Monday, 90-89, spoiling Lynch coach Cheryl Reeve's attempt to break the all-time regular-season wins record. The Sun bring a 3-1 win streak in tonight, as they open a three-game homestand. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. ET and the game can be found on USA Network.

Finally, the Indiana Fever visit the injury-plagued Los Angeles Sparks. While the Fever list Aliyah Boston (leg) as questionable and Caitlin Clark (back) as probable, the Sparks remain without Cameron Brink (ankle) and Kelsey Plum (leg). The Fever have won two in a row, beginning with a victory over these same Sparks, in Indianapolis, before a win in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Tonight is the first of a back-to-back for the Fever, who visit Phoenix tomorrow night, in the teams' first meeting since the incident between Clark and Alyssa Thomas. Tip-off is at 10 p.m. and the game will be on CNBC and USA Network.

Gabby Williams OVER 2.5 First Quarter Points (-132)

Gabby Williams, who is averaging 15.3 points per game, has been the scoring leader for the Valkyries. I expect her to bounce back from a 2-point performance in 17:15 during the team's 13-point win at Washington on Monday. And whereas the Mystics boast a talented young backcourt, she's facing a depleted Tempo rotation today.

Toronto comes into Wednesday night shorthanded, missing multiple players from the backcourt, and that will be detrimental on defense against a versatile playmaker like Williams, who I believe will come out firing immediately. Williams is averaging 3.9 first-quarter points per game, and could get us in the money with one long-range 3-pointer.

Natasha Howard OVER 24.5 Points + Rebounds (-106)

Looking for revenge, I expect the Lynx to run the offense through Natasha Howard tonight, with rookie Olivia Miles doubtful for Wednesday's game. Howard had 18 points and six rebounds in Monday's surprising one-point loss against Connecticut, so she'll be taking this one personally, as well.

Howard, who is averaging 17.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, has turned in two clunkers in her last two games, scoring 12.5 points and grabbing 6.0 boards in back-to-back losses. If there's an opponent we can count on her to bounce back, it's the Sun. Over her last four meetings against them, Howard is averaging a double-double with 17.5 points and 10 rebounds. That would get us over, and quite possibly the Lynx a revenge win.

Kelsey Mitchell OVER 2.5 3-pointers (-154)

Whether or not Clark returns tonight, I expect the Indiana offense to flow through Kelsey Mitchell. She leads the team in scoring (21.9 ppg) and is dropping 2.5 3-pointers per game. But it's not about what she's been doing as much as how she's been dialing long distance most recently. Bolstered by her seven 3-pointers on June 24, the versatile scorer is averaging 4.6 from long range her last three games.

Mitchell, who has made three or more from long range in her last four games, has also terrorized the Sparks during her career. In averaging 17.8 points in 26 career appearances against Los Angeles, Mitchell is averaging 2.8 3-pointers per meeting. But over her last six meetings with the Sparks, she's dropped 3.6 per game.
