WNBA Same Game Parlay Picks: Fever vs. Liberty Best Bets & Odds (July 18)

Publish Date: Jul 18, 2026
Fact checked by: Matt Moreno
Key Points
  • The New York Liberty rank ninth in the league with an average score of 21.6 points per fourth quarter this season, while the Indiana Fever are sixth with 22.0. Will they go over 45.5 points in the final period tonight?
  • The Liberty have lost three in a row, and in those games have allowed five players to score more than 17.5 points. Can Caitilin Clark replicate her 45-point performance from last night? Half of that total would send her over her prop total.
  • Sabrina Ionescu is averaging 2.9 treys per clash in 18 meetings against the Fever. Her 3-point total for tonight is 2.5. Can she make three inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse?

Three games on the WNBA card today, all in primetime, with a spotlight game in Indianapolis, as the New York Liberty (13-11) visit Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever (15-10), who are on the second leg of a back-to-back. The Fever outlasted the last-place Seattle Storm on Friday, when Clark turned in the league's first-ever 40-point, 10-assist performance. The game tips at 8 p.m. Eastern and will be broadcast on CBS.

Also on the schedule is the Portland Fire (11-14) visiting the league-leading Minnesota Lynx (19-6). The Fire conclude their four-game road trip that has seen them pull off upsets in two of the first three. The Fire won in Atlanta and Washington, and lost at Connecticut.

This will be Portland's eighth road game over its last nine contests, dating back to June 24. The Lynx won the first meeting easily, 107-74, on June 15 in Minneapolis. But while the Lynx have won four straight on the hardwood, they've failed to cover six in a row. The game tips at 8 p.m. ET and will be shown on WNBA League Pass.

The final game of the night brings us the Mystics (12-11) visiting the Golden State Valkyries (18-7) in what should make for an interesting showdown. The Mystics are clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot, while the second-year Valkyries have ascended to second place thanks to an eight-game win streak.

Since arriving in the league last season, Golden State is 5-0 SU and ATS against the Mystics. Tip-off is at 8:30 p.m. ET and will also be seen on WNBA League Pass.

WNBA Same Game Parlay Picks: Indiana Fever vs. New York Liberty

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook

Fourth Quarter UNDER 45.5 points (-120)

The Fever played a marathon of a game last night, with Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell leading the offense in the 110-107 win. For context, the Fever have scored 100-plus points nine times this season. Their average tally in the very next game is 91.0 points after the first eight occasions.

Not a bad haul, but the problem is they've never had to play the next night. And the best comparison to the follow-up opponent with a stringent defense is Golden State, which limited the Fever to 75 points just this past week — in Indianapolis.

But forget about total points by one team or the final score by both teams in the game, I'm talking about the fourth quarter, when I'm banking on the Fever to run out of gas. I don't want to side with the Liberty in the fourth, as this is a team that has lost seven of nine and has lost five of six on the road.

The Liberty rank ninth in the league with an average score of 21.6 points per fourth quarter this season, while the Fever are sixth with 22.0. On the defensive end, they're tied for 10th in the league, both allowing 22.0 points in the final frame. I expect the struggling Liberty and weary Fever to stay under in the fourth quarter.

Caitlin Clark OVER 17.5 points (-114)

You know what we didn't see last night? A major crash out after a bump or grind on the Fever star. Clark was focused and dropped 45 on the worst team in the league. She isn't about to replicate her 40-point performance from last night, but if history holds, she'll eclipse her point total for tonight's showdown. The Liberty have lost three in a row, and in those games have allowed five players to score more than 17.5 points.

Clark has scored 30-plus points seven other times in her career, and she's averaging 18.8 points in the very next game. She's scored more than 17.5 points in five of those games, including twice this season. And while she's averaging 16.1 points in seven career games against New York, she's dropped 18 or more in three of the last four meetings. The exception was earlier this season, when she scored just 10 in an 83-75 loss in Brooklyn. At home, after last night, against struggling New York, she'll get at least 18.

Sabrina Ionescu OVER 2.5 3-pointers (+138)

Three years and four days ago, Sabrina Ionescu won the 3-point contest after scoring 37 of a possible 40 points in the final round. She made 20 consecutive shots during the round and only missed 2 total shots. In her postgame press conference, she said, "I shouldn't have missed two." It's the challenge Ionescu thrives on, and tonight she will continue her tear from long range, knowing who she's up against across the way.

Ionescu has made three or more 3-pointers in three of her last four games, including the last two road games to spark 25- and 28-point performances in Minneapolis and Toronto, respectively.

The Fever might rank first in the league in limiting opponents to .255 shooting from 3-point range, but since June 13, they're allowing teams to connect with a .341 clip, seventh highest in the WNBA. Now, consider this: Ionescu is averaging 2.9 3-pointers per clash in 18 meetings against the Fever, and has made three or more in 10 of those games — including the last three and five of seven. Don't be surprised if Clark and Ionescu trade multiple 3s in a sequence at some point in this game.
