Noche UFC is this weekend and headlining the event is the two best bantamweights the UFC has to offer. 'Suga' Sean O'Malley sets to defend his bantamweight title a second time when he takes on No. 1 contender Merab Dvalishvili.
The co-main event pits the two best women flyweight contenders against one another as the champ Alexa Grasso looks to settle the score once and for all when she takes on the former champ Valentina Shevchenko.
This fight card is going to have the fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish. With that said, let's take a look at the best bets for this historic event for Noche UFC 306.
Best Odds: Sean O'Malley (-122) FanDuel Sportsbook
The UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O'Malley looks to successfully defend his title for a second time when he takes on surging No. 1 Contender Merab Dvalishvili this weekend at Noche UFC 306.
O'Malley is the kryptonite for wrestlers and grapplers and he showed that when he faced off against Merab Dvalishili's best friend, training partner, and former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling.
His movement on the feet and his long limbs make it impossible to get inside his reach to attempt takedowns. O'Malley is able to then snipe at range and he is one of the best counterstrikers we have ever seen at 135 lbs.
Going against a fighter like Dvalishvili, O'Malley is going to be cool, calm, and collected in there so as not to give him any openings to shoot for a takedown.
As long as O'Malley doesn't spend an absorbant amount of time on his back, it's his fight to lose if it stays on the feet as he retains his bantamweight championship this weekend at Noche UFC.
Best Odds: Ignacio Bahamondes (+108) FanDuel Sportsbook
This fight could potentially steal the show between these high-octane strikers who look for the knockout every chance they get. Bahamondes is coming off a beautiful head-kick knockout of Christos Giagos in his last fight and will be looking to continue his winning ways this weekend.
Bahamondes is a rangy striker who does his best work at range utilizing his reach and his kicks to keep his opponents at bay. Going against a very aggressive opponent like Torres who's been running through people this will come in handy.
Torres is a kill-or-be-killed type of fighter who has yet to see a 2nd round in his UFC career something that Bahamondes has experience doing in his UFC career.
Seeing as Bahamondes normally has trouble with kickers like L'udovit Klein and John Makdessi, this fight should bode well for him as Torres is primarily a boxer-brawler. If Bahamondes can punish Torres from the outside as he comes within range he could potentially land something flush putting him away and extending his winning streak to two in a row.
Best Odds: Raul Rosas Jr. by Submission (-160) FanDuel Sportsbook
Raul Rosas Jr. is one of the top prospects in the entire bantamweight division when he got signed off the Contender Series at just 17 years old.
Rosas Jr. is finally coming into himself after suffering the first loss of his career against Christian Rodriguez. Since that loss he's won two in a row, dominating on the mat and most recently defeating TUF winner Ricky Turcios via second-round submission.
He gets to take on Aoriqileng who's coming off a very good win against another high-level Jiu-Jitsu practitioner however, Rosas Jr.'s ability to get the fight to the mat is extensively better than that of Johnny Munoz Jr.
It will be up to Rosas Jr. to avoid the big shots of Aoriqileng on the feet, close distance, and take this fight to the mat where he should soften him up with strikes before sinking in the submission and getting his 4th win in his UFC career.
