Week 1 of the NFL season certainly delivered for the fans and we come into Week 2 with high expectations. On Sunday Night Football, we have a clash between the new-look Chicago Bears and the Super Bowl hopefuls Houston Texans.
We can expect a very exciting game from start to finish in this matchup, let's take a look at our Bears-Texans prediction and pick.
The Caleb Williams era didn’t get off to a hot start in Week 1 not recording a single offensive touchdown all game long. However, they did walk away with the victory against Tennessee, all thanks to their dominant defense.
While they did walk away with the victory giving their fans a little glimpse of hope, they have to do better offensively if they want to stand a chance against these high-powered Texans offense.
I’ll give Williams the benefit of the doubt coming into his first NFL game with a lot of jitters and trying to get used to the game speed. It’s going to be telling how does in his first road game of his NFL career against a more forgiving matchup with the Houston Texans secondary that was lit up by Anthony Richardson in Week 1.
This could be the game where we can see what Caleb Williams is all about and with Keenan Allen, DJ Moore, and Rome Odunze (if he plays) able to take the top off of this defense he can air it out and put some points on the board.
Going against this Texans offense, the Bears will need to keep up and if the Williams at USC comes to play this game should be a fun one and one that the Bears could away not only covering but also with the win.
The Houston Texans with the additions of Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon make an already explosive team that much more explosive.
CJ Stroud and this Texans offense came out firing on all cylinders in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts.
As CJ Stroud becomes more and more confident in himself and his teammates, this Texans team looks like a legitimate threat to the Kansas City Chiefs at the top of conference.
In this matchup with the Bears, if the Texans can get going early and put the pressure on Williams to mount a comeback it will be too much too soon for the 2024 No. 1 overall pick in his first game on the road as the Texans down the Bears and Williams suffers his first loss as a pro.

BEST ODDS FOR CHICAGO BEARS vs HOUSTON TEXANS
This is yet another fantastic matchup to finish out Sunday’s matchups for Week 2. We have two promising young stars battling it out on primetime looking to make their mark and set the tone for the season.
You can expect the CJ Stroud and this Texans offense to have their way with this Bears defense. This isn’t Will Levis and the Titans offense we saw from a week ago.
Ultimately, Stroud comes out firing in their home opener. They will show Texans’ fans they have something to look forward to by downing Caleb Williams and the Bears in dominant fashion, covering the spread and getting the big victory.
