The Baltimore Ravens are off to a forgettable 0-2 start after being upset by the Las Vegas Raiders in their home opener last week, and now they'll really be put to the test on Sunday as they visit a Dallas Cowboys team that's in desperate need of a bounce-back win after being smoked by the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.
With much to play for, this one should be a highly-watchable affair featuring tons of scoring and tight margins. That opens the door for us to take a look at some player props as we eye the stars who should shine the brightest on Sunday.
Let's get into the best prop bets to make for Ravens vs Cowboys in Week 3.
The Dallas Cowboys were toyed with in every which way last week in a blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints, and while the Saints' 190 rushing yards ultimately told the tale of that game, Derek Carr still managed to go for 243 yards on just 11-of-16 passing.
Likely ceded some snaps to Mark Andrews last week, but still played 50% after finishing the 2023 season as this team's biggest weapon on offense aside from Lamar Jackson.
With Dallas' defensive struggles and the Ravens' affection for Likely, he should feature in this one. I like him to score in this one, but the value on his reception line is the best you'll find for him here.
Dallas has struggled in a few different areas this season, but the most glaring spot has been in the run game where it's ranked dead last according to PFF and has allowed 4.9 yards per carry to opponents.
Derrick Henry has struggled to move the ball for Baltimore, and Lamar Jackson's rushing total is far too high for me to comfortably suggest betting on it here. While backing Henry to score here seems like the likeliest option, we're also priced out of that market.
That brings me to Justice Hill, who once again played more than Henry in Week 2.
We'll find an incredibly attainable line for Hill in Week 3, and in where the Ravens are likely to fall behind at some point or abandon the run altogether, the snap count for this team's passing-down back could grow even higher.
I expect Hill to get enough work here to pick up 10 yards on the ground, particularly with how efficiently he's run the ball. He's up to five yards per carry in limited action this season after averaging 4.6 on 84 totes last year.
A defensive prop? Sure! Why not?
There's simply no reason to skip past the individual player props on this one when it comes to both defenses, considering each team has had its fair share of shortcomings offensively and has flashed some brilliance on the other side of the ball.
I'm looking right to Odafe Oweh in this one after he registered 2.5 sacks last week against the Raiders.
The Cowboys had some serious issues against the Saints last week, allowing 15 quarterback pressures and three back-breaking sacks of Dak Prescott. He was sacked three times against the Browns in Week 1 as well, putting him in an arduous position on Sunday.
Baltimore has now recorded seven sacks through two games and I like leaning on its best pass rusher here as we attempt to back a continuation of the trends.
