After an injury scare last week in a win over the Cleveland Browns, Patrick Mahomes is set to suit back up for the Kansas City Chiefs as they look to remain atop the AFC in a potential playoff preview.
The Houston Texans' spot in the playoffs has been secured, and now with two straight wins they'll look to instill some more fear in the conference's top teams as they round into form at the right time.
Let's highlight a few players who should shine in this one as we build a same-game parlay for Texans vs Chiefs on Saturday, December 21.

While Mahomes has struggled a bit this season, and taken a turn for the worst in recent weeks with a 57.3% completion percentage for 369 total yards, he should once again be the focal point of this Chiefs offense.
Mahomes has now averaged 39.4 passing attempts over his last eight games, and in seven of those contests he's thrown 37 or more times. The run game has been highly volatile with Isiah Pacheco working his way back into the lineup, but there's also been a clear focus on trying short passes to move the ball.
The veteran has ranked outside the top 25 this year in air yards, and with the Texans on a run over the last five games which has seen them pick off 11 passes, we should see more of the same.
Houston has now allowed 40 or more passing attempts in three of the last four, and with Mahomes looking good enough in practice to clear his name from the injury report, all systems should be go here.
It's with a heavy heart that I once again announce it's time to hop back aboard the Xavier Worthy train. The rookie has cost us some money amidst a very volatile season, but he's seemed to find consistency over the last five games with an average of seven targets and 49.6 yards per game.
Worthy is fresh off a season-high 11 targets and six receptions, and he's now racked up 40 or more yards in five straight games as he brings his season average up over 35 per contest.
I expect plenty of passing attempts from Mahomes, and that should mean plenty of involvement for Worthy who's now played 80% of the snaps in back-to-back weeks, something he hadn't done all year long until those tilts.
Finally, we'll get a little cute here and play the trends with a kicking prop in this one.
The veteran kicker has now made two or mor field goals in all but one game this season, converting multiple kicks in 10 straight contests despite missing five, and he should see the field plenty against an excellent red zone defense.
Houston has scored on just 50% of red zone possessions in the last five weeks, ranked 24th, and for the year is just 18th. That should mean plenty of action for Fairbairn.
