Week 1 of the NFL season is finally among us and we are in store for a treat this weekend with a full Sunday slate of games on tap.
With football finally back, that means every bettor's favorite prop is back as we take a look over the best first touchdown scorer props for Week 1.
Christian McCaffrey has been one of, if not the best running back in the NFL since he stepped foot on an NFL field. He is the focal point of this San Francisco 49ers offense and they run the offense through him.
He doesn't have any competition behind him that will take away meaningful touches, especially in the red zone where the 49ers love to feed him the ball.
As long as the 49ers are efficient in this game and get into the red zone McCaffrey will get his opportunities to punch it in and get that first touchdown.
Bijan Robinson didn't break out like many believed he would in his rookie season. He was in a stagnant offense with horrible quarterback play but now with new head coach Raheem Morris and viable quarterback Kirk Cousins, Robinson has the opportunity to have that break out season in 2024.
There is a ton of high expectations for this Falcons team as a whole this season with Bijan Robinson as the main guy to ignite this offense.
Now, with having a competent quarterback at the helm with Cousins, defenses can't stack the box like they did last season giving Robinson more running room up front.
Just like last season, Robinson will get all of the goaline work and when the Falcons get into the red zone they are going to feed Robinson the ball to cross over the goaline to be the first touchdown scorer in this game.
The Buffalo Bills come into this season with a different look on offense after losing their two top wideouts Stefan Diggs and Gabe Davis to free agency. Much like the second half of the season, we should see more rushing under offensive coordinator Joe Brady.
They will not be running your typical plays to get the ball in the end zone when you have a versatile quarterback like Josh Allen who can run and throw the ball.
Instead of running a traditional running play with James Cook in the backfield, they will turn to Allen's big build on the goaline to punch it through and get the touchdown.
We will see more of the same in Week 1 once they get it to the red zone expect Allen to punch it in for the Bills first touchdown of the game.
