The Milwaukee Brewers don't have to win on Tuesday. But, if they lose Game Two of the National League Championship Series, the difficulty level to win the pennant will rise dramatically.
The Dodgers eked out a 2-1 win on Monday in Game One. The star of the game was Blake Snell, who used his "hammer" (curveball) to stifle the Brew Crew. If the Dodgers can win while only scoring one run, the Brewers may be in a lot of trouble.

Since we have one game on the schedule for Tuesday, I'm making five picks. This includes my first parlay pick of the MLB postseason.
Odds for this special playoff picks article are from FanDuel Sportsbook. Consult your favorite betting app for odds on MLB, the NFL, college football, and more.
Another tight game is likely. Both teams have many great bullpen arms. The postseason is where the offense goes to die.
Grab the 1.5 runs and take Milwaukee on the moneyline. That means we don't care who wins, as long as the Brewers are within a run, we win.
BET: Wager $176 to win $100, or $88 to win $50.
More on this below in the parlay pick. These playoffs, Shohei is 4-for-29. But that stat is misleading: opposing teams are pitching him very, very carefully. Ohtani has six walks. He's also chased eight pitches out of the zone, a sign that the Japanese star is trying to find a good pitch.
BET: A $50 wager on Shohei Ohtani to Hit a Home Run (+255). if he comes through, our $100 wager wins $255 plus the stake.
Runs are at a premium in the MLB postseason. How much so? I am getting +320 odds on one run being scored in the first inning. Typically in the regular season, this Game Prop would be in the +150 to +200 range.
We must get EXACTLY ONE RUN to win this prop bet.
How about a solo home run? Anyone? Maybe Freddie? Mookie? Shohei?
BET: $100 bet on one run to score in 1st inning at +320. Win $320 on a $100 winning bet OR $160 on a winning $50 wager. Use your favorite betting platform or app to place this game prop.
Remember when MLB made the bases a tiny bit bigger? It was intended to add more action to the game. It worked, even if it doesn't feel like it. Since the rule change before the 2023 season, stolen bases are up about 37%, with attempts up almost 40%.
But in the postseason, we've seen stolen base attempts spike up by nearly 45% since the bases were enlarged.
The Brewers were second in MLB in steals in 2025 with 164, or roughly one successful steal per game. In six postseason games, Milwaukee has only two steal attempts.
I don't think the trend will continue: Milwaukee will need to force the issue in Game Two against LA. I like a few steal attempts by Pat Murphy's boys tonight.
BET: Jackson Chourio (21 SB) To Steal a Base at +470. I'm going with a $25 wager, which means if I win, I claim $117.50
The Brewers are in a near must-win spot. They may start slow, but the lineup has to plate runs to pressure the Dodgers. Otherwise they're staring at an 0-2 deficit as they travel west to SoCal for Thursday's Game Three. I like Milwaukee to score enough to be within a run once again.
The Brewers' bats were silenced by Blake Snell on Monday. I see a lingering hangover, which means LA wins the first 5 innings. I also like starter Yamamoto to twirl his best pitches and log at least 7 K's.
Lastly, we have Mr. Ohtani, the presumptive NL MVP, and BPOTP (Best Player On The Planet). Unfortunately for the Brewers, the matchup between starter Freddy Peralta and Ohtani is not a good one.
Ohtani has faced Peralta 11 times: he's 3-for-9 with two walks.
Among his three hits are two home runs. So far, Ohtani has been very lukewarm in the playoffs. But, this is a favorable matchup. I expect an early LA lead.
If we match all four bets in the parlay, we win at +3132 odds. That means our $100 wager wins $3,132. Or we could win $1,516 on a $50 wager.
