As March Madness prepares for the First Round matches to get underway, Houston’s odds have only shortened further. Whereas the current favorites were priced at +475, the sportsbooks are now offering just +450 instead.
Additional confidence is being shown as far as they are concerned, but no movement for the remaining colleges in the current top five. With Alabama still priced at +650, many believe they will at least reach the final.
Something that the trio of Purdue, UCLA, and Kansas will look to achieve themselves and they may also be worth some consideration. At the same time, Tennessee’s current odds suggest that going deep in this year’s March Madness may elude them.
Texas | Current Odds |
---|---|
Tennessee | +1400 |
Houston | +450 |
Alabama | +650 |
Purdue | +1000 |
UCLA | +1000 |
Kansas | +1200 |
When looking at the bracket for this year’s March Madness tournament, it does seem as if Tennessee’s hopes of outright victory are rather faint, and although they are one of the stronger colleges that will be in the mix, there are plenty of stronger teams to surpass.
The odds have them as the joint-11th favorites at the time of writing and with the sportsbooks pricing them as such, it does mean the Sweet Sixteen is the most likely target for the Volunteers.
However, if they can get that far and win the game in question, things will only begin to open up and with momentum behind them, who knows if they can pull off a shock or two on the way to 2023 glory.
There is no doubt that March Madness creates a frenzy on the court and with so much action unfolding in a short space of time, it also creates a frenzy in homes and bars across the country.
While if you are someone who is backing Tennessee to go all the way, you will want to place your bets with a trusted sportsbook. Luckily for you, we have a recommended list of the best below:
