The (13-45 Houston Rockets travel to San Francisco, CA, to face the (29-29 Golden State Warriors. Tipoff will take place at 10:00 PM EST in the Chase Center. This will be the third meeting between the two teams in the regular NCAA season. The Warriors won the previous battle 120-101.
The Rockets were embarrassed in their last game, out 130-96, by the OKC Thunder. They were awful on both ends of their floor and will need to put more effort into this one if the Rockets want to challenge the Warriors at home.
The Warriors were beaten 134-124 in their last game out against the Clippers. They could not defend the court well and will need to make more stops to defeat the Rockets at home.
Jalen Green is still leading the offensive end of court. He scores 21.8 points per game on 40.9% field goal shooting. However, make sure you check the injury report. He is currently out with a groin Injury. Houston has also demonstrated that they are unable to make deep shots consistently. They are second in the league for worst three-point shooting at 32.6%. They also shot 75.5% from the charity stripe, the 24th-highest free-throw percentage.
The Rockets allow 118.2 points per match while their opponents shoot 47.7% from the floor. This is the 19th-lowest allowed shooting percentage and the 25th-highest surrendered points per game. The Rockets have the NBA's 28th-lowest adjusted defensive rating. Their perimeter defense is even worse than their inability to defend the rim. Their opponents have been able to shoot 36% from deep, the 26th-lowest allowed three-point shooting percentage in the league. They also average 46.6 rebounds per match, which is fourth in the NBA.
Klay Thompson continues to be the leader on the offensive side of the court. He is scoring 21.4 points per contest on 42.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Golden State also showed that they have many players who can shoot from the 3-point line. They shoot 38.6% from the deep, which is third in league three-point shooting. They also shot 78.8% from the charity stripe, which ranks them 13th in free-throw percentage. These free shots at the rim are a must for them to win home games.

The Warriors have the 19th-lowest adjusted defensive rating in all of the NBA. While they have been able to continue contesting shots at the basket, their perimeter defense has sometimes hurt them.
Their opponents have shot 36.3% from beyond the arc, the 18th-highest three-point shooting percentage. If they want to win, they must shut down open jump shooters. The Golden State Warriors also have 43.7 rebounds per game, which is the 14th most.
Injury Report: Steph Curry (PG) (Knee), Andrew Wiggins (SF) (Personal), Gary Payton II (SG) (Thigh), are out.
The Warriors have won the previous two matchups this year, 120-101 and 127-120. Both games were played in the first six weeks of the season so it’s been over two months since these two teams have played each other.

With the over under in this game at 224, I look at the last two games and see that one game finished under and the other game finished over. I think with the players that are not playing in this game that betting the under will be the play today.
