Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles Over Under Odds: Betting the Over Under for Super Bowl 57

The Over/ Under for Superbowl 57 sits at 51 points and many ask what line they should bet on. If we take a closer look at the dynamics of this game we should be able to get closer to making the most educated bet possible. Typically Over/Under bets are some of the hardest to get right because the dynamics of any game change from one half of football to the next. It’s been no secret that Patrick Mahomes has been dealing with a high ankle sprain since the second quarter of the divisional round against Jacksonville. Mahomes had obvious mobility issues in the AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Mahomes however was able to overcome his injury and pick up a key first down scrambling late in the fourth quarter. Mahomes has had two weeks to rest so I don’t think his injury will be much of a factor in this game.

Travis Kelce could be the deciding factor in this game, and I believe if Travis Kelce is able to have a big game with 12 or more catches for 100-plus yards then the Chiefs will most likely score 27 or more points.

Jalen Hurts sprained his throwing shoulder in week 15 and had to miss weeks 17 and 18 of the regular season. Since his return, there have been serious questions about Hurt’s ability to throw the ball downfield. In the NFC Championship Game Hurts was only able to complete 15 passes for 121 yards.

I believe the Eagles will have to find a way to move the ball down the field without relying on Hurts’s arm. In order to do that the Eagles will need to rely on running back Miles Sanders and their incredible offensive line to move the ball downfield. If the Eagles can establish the run against a very good Chiefs defensive line, it will open up their run-pass-option game, giving Hurts the ability to throw shorter high-percentage passes to help move the ball.

When Looking at the over-under of 51 points in this game deciding what to bet really comes down to who you think is going to win. If the Chiefs win this game, I think they do it by scoring 27 points or more. If the Chiefs can play their style of offense and move the ball efficiently and quickly down the field this game most likely ends with both teams scoring. If this game turns into that sort of offensive battle I think betting the Over would be the logical bet.

If you believe the Eagles are going to win, then I think they win by moving the ball and the ground and controlling the clock, keeping Mahomes and the Chiefs offense off the field as much as possible. If moving the ball on the ground is the formula for the Eagles success in this game then we are looking at a lower-scoring game where both teams score 24 points or less.

My advice would be to bet the over. I believe Mahomes and the Chiefs are going to be able to move the ball and score, causing the eagles to play catch up. I believe the Eagles score at least 24 points in this game, and the Chiefs will score 27 or better. My prediction for the game is Chiefs 34 – Eagles 24.
