On Monday night the number 5 Kansas Jayhawks travel to Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena to take on the T.C.U. Horned Frogs in what should be an exciting matchup in this Big 12 showdown. This is a need-to-win game for the Jayhawks if they look to stay on top of the Big 12 Conference.

After a great start to the season, the Horned Frogs have struggled in the second half of the season. T.C.U. was able to rebound from a 4-game losing streak on Saturday with a 100-75 win over a struggling Oklahoma State team. Even with the Horned Frogs’ struggles they have been able to put up some big numbers offensively averaging almost 80 points over their last five games. If the Horned Frogs can control the tempo of the game, I think they have a better-than-average shot at winning this game. If T.C.U. forward Emanual Miller can have another big night as he did against Oklahoma scoring 20 points or better, it will greatly improve the Horned Frogs odds in this game.

The Jayhawks are currently sitting at 22-5 on the season with a 10-4 Big 12 conference record. It seems the only time Kansas has struggled this season is against conference opponents which is why the Horned frogs are favored by two in this game. However Kansas is obviously the better team here, they have played better basketball all season and this will be a good test for them, as to whether they will be able to handle the pressure and atmosphere of the NCAA tournament this year. Jalen Wilson has been the guy for Kansas this year averaging just over 20 points per game. Wilson’s main contribution to this team isn’t his scoring, it’s his ability to pull down on average 8 rebounds per game, and the tough physical defense he plays. If Wilson has a big night, then so do the Jayhawks.

TCU and Kansas have met 28 times in school history with the Jayhawks dominating the series 24-4. However, TCU was able to knock off the Jayhawks in their last matchup just a month ago with an 83 to 60 victory. This last matchup shows us the Horned Frogs match up well against the Jayhawks and it’s something to pay attention to in this game

With TCU being favored by two points in this game it really becomes a pick’em game, and I can see this game coming down to the last possession. So, when betting on this game the best bet is to bet the money line here. Even with TCU getting the win in the last matchup I think Kansas is playing better basketball right now and I think they come away with a win here tonight.
