Celtics vs Cavaliers Preview

The Boston Celtics head to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers Monday night in a match where two of the best teams in the NBA will battle it out on the hardwood to try and better their Playoff seeding as the regular season begins to wind down.

Boston is coming into Monday night losing 3 of their last 5.  Boston will look to improve on their terrible shooting performances over the last two games and get back on track tonight against Cleveland. Boston is going to have to rely heavily on Jayson Tatum who has been lights out for the Celtics all season and is coming off a 40 points game against the Knicks in Boston’s 131-129 loss.

Cleveland is coming into this game winning 6 of their last 10, hoping to carry the momentum of their 114-90 win over Detroit Saturday night into this game. Cleveland is averaging just at 113 points in their last five games and will have to find a way to get more offensive production tonight if they hope to keep up the Celtics

Injuries- Shouldnt play much of a factor for the Celtics, However, Clevland has their teams leading scoring in Donovan Mitchell listed as Day to Day with a finger injury. Mitchell should be good to go for tonight's game but it's something to watch out for.

Betting on the game! (Cavs -6.0)

This game wasn't much of a decision for me. Im going to take the Celtics to cover at 6 points. In fact, I would take the Celtics to cover any spread because I think they will win this game outright tonight. I know the Cavs have beaten the Celtics twice already this year and Boston is coming off two losses in a row. But that's precisely why I think they win this game, Boston is a better team on paper and I think they get back on track tonight on the road against the Cavs.

Money Line (Celtics +192) 

Since I believe the Celtics win this game outright I’m going to supplement my points spread bet with a bet on the money line as well. At +192 odds it's a good way to get a little more bang for your buck in this game. I usually do not like to bet the money line on the road team but tonight I'm going to make an exception.

With the over/under at 218.5 for this game is like a gift from the betting gods. In three previous matchups, both teams have scored over 110 points in all three games, and both teams are averaging bear that for the season. I believe the Celtics and Cavs will blow this over/under out of the water and I would encourage everyone to bet the over.
