NBA betting continues as the Atlanta Hawks will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, March 13th in this Eastern Conference versus Western Conference matchup at State Farm Arena. This will be the first time these two teams have squared off this year. With records at 34-34, who gets back into a winnning season?
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been at home the last two games. Unfortunately, they fell to two Eastern Conference teams in Philly and Brooklyn. Dissapointing results for what looked to be something to build upon after winning 3 games in a row on the road . Something has got to give as the road has been good to the T-Wolves lately but playing Eastern conference teams has not.
Rudy Gobert is a game-time decision in this one. The T-Wolves have already spent most of the season playing without Karl Anthony-Towns, they dont need to be without their big man too. Anthony Edwards can handle most of the scoring, but he isnt going to outscore the high powered Hawks single handedly. The Timberwolves need the defensive prescence of the Stifle Tower in the paint.
Trae Young has been playing tremndous basketball of late. After the organization essetially picked him over head coach at the time Nate McMillan, Trae has found his offensive groove and been more efficient while doing so. What he hasn’t had consistently is help from his backcourt teammate in Dejounte Murray.
Dejounte Murray in recent losses has shot less than 30%. That’s a putrid number and explains why this team has hovered around a .500 record most of the year. It’s too dependent upon Trae and Dejounte having great nights every night. Not to mention a lack of effort on the defensive side. If the Hawks want to win at home, the backcourt once again has to carry the load.
The Timberwolves and Hawks have not played each other at all this year. This will be the first game out of two with the season winding down before playoff play. One of these teams is going to get over the .500 hump. Which star guard will lead their team to victory?

In this matchup, I’m taking the Hawks to cover the 5 points. With Rudy Gobert a game-time decision, I think that the explosive Hawks offense will be too much. Even if he is to play, I think the Hawks still find a way to cover. Give me the home team in this interconference matchup.
The over under is sitting at 240 currently. I don’t think its high enough. The Hawks have been gouging points and the Timberwolves are limpinig in. I’ll take the over in this one and I think it’ll make a good fantasy day to have players involved.
