Penn State vs Texas A&M Preview

This is a battle between the two most underseeded teams in this year's tournament. This is a 7 vs 10 matchup that should be a 4 vs 8. Both teams are capable of beating anybody when they are hot, and its a shame they are matched up right away in the first round. The good news is this is the best matchup in the first round and should be a classic matchup.

Recent form analysis

Penn State The Aggies are on a roll?

The SEC regular season and conference tournament runner-up will enter as winners of 10 out of their last 12.

With the exception of their most recent loss to Alabama, the Aggies have been playing well lately.
Thus, it should come as no shock that the Aggies are one of the tournament's top teams led by guard Wade Taylor IV.

As a #7 seed they have been undervalued, and they will certainly look to take advantage of this.

Defensively, the Aggies were the 3rd best team in terms of giving up Points Per Game at 66.2, trailing only Tennessee and Mississippi State in the SEC.

On offense, the Aggies were 5th best in PPG and boasted the highest Free Throw percentage in the SEC--especially during March.
Watch for Taylor IV in this one.

Texas A&M Penn State has been on fire, also

Aggie fans, keep an eye out for the Nittany Lions. Just like the Aggies, Penn State has won 8 out of their last 10.
This is not the same team that dropped four consecutive games just last month - quite the contrary!
Penn State has recently put the Big 10 on notice. Through the end of their season, they have proven to be one of the toughest teams in the conference, beating Northwestern (x2), Maryland, Indiana and narrowly missing out on #1 seed Purdue by two in the Big 10 Championship.

Our Betting Pick for Today

This could be one of the top 7-10 matchups the tournament has to offer.
Jalen Pickett takes on Wade Taylor IV.

Two of college basketball's most exciting guards.

This will be a high-intensity game that will likely be decided within the last few minutes.

Both teams will enter with similar momentum, but I predict Texas A&M just edge out Penn State in the final minutes or two to advance to the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Betting on the Game: Texas A&M -2

Over Under Penn State vs Texas A&M(134.5)

Two guard oriented high-powered offense, I think the pick is obvious, take the over.
