New York has been on fire as of late winning 8 of their last 9 games. Much of the offensive success the Knicks have had lately is due to the production of Julius Randle who is averaging 25 points per game and has had some stellar games as of late.
Brooklyn has looked terrible since trading away their team's biggest weapon Kyrie Irving to the Mavericks. The Nets have lost 3 straight including last night to the Bucks. The Nets need to find a way to get more offensive production and play better defense if they hope to be in NBA playoff contention at the end of the season. Right now Brooklynn looks like a sinking ship.

Betting on the game! (Knicks - 7.5)
If this game was taking place two months ago and I were to see the Knicks as 7.5 points favorites against the Nets, it would be a no-brainer to take the Nets to cover. However, since the trade deadline, the Nets have played just downright horrible basketball. With each passing game, the Nets playoff hopes slip further away. The Knicks have played very well lately and the best bet here is to give up the 7.5 points and take the Knicks to cover.

Anytime a money line bet is -200 or greater for the that I believe will win I shy away from betting the money line in those games. I feel the risk vs reward is not great enough on the off chance the favorite has a bad shooting night or a key player goes down with an injury.
