Following an early October thrashing at the hands of the 49ers, the Cowboys have bounced back with important wins over the Chargers and Rams. In the latter of those two wins, Dallas produced arguably their best performance of the season, racing out to a 33-9 half time lead that they never looked like losing.

The most encouraging aspect of that Lions win was how well the Cowboys performed on both sides of the ball. A pick six from DaRon Bland was sandwiched between touchdowns for CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson, plus a blocked punt leading to a safety. Clearly the Eagles are a vastly superior outfit to the Rams, but if Dallas can produce a similar performance that will have an excellent chance of victory.

Despite having the only one loss record in the league, the Philadelphia Eagles have not been entirely convincing so far. QB Jayen Hurts has been short of his 2022 form, whilst the defence has looked susceptible against the pass. And whilst the latter of those issues was still in evidence in last week’s win over Washington, Hurts and the offense produced their best display of the season to put up an impressive 38 points.

Most sports picks and predictions indicate that the Eagles have an excellent chance of making it back to back NFC titles. Beating their fiercest rivals this Sunday will put them in pole position to secure a first round bye, leaving themselves just two games away from achieving exactly that.
