The spread is a minuscule -1.5 in favor of the Philadelphia Eagles. On paper this matchup looks close, but when you look a little deeper at this game, one thing stands out. That one thing is the battle where football games are won and that's in the trenches.

The Eagles are historically great pass rushers accounting for over 70 sacks this season, the Chiefs were second in this category to the Eagles but they were twenty sacks behind the Eagles record pace. The Chiefs interior offensive line is strong, but they have had issues at the offensive tackle position. The Eagles defense has no glaring weaknesses and while the Chiefs defense has been solid this season I do not see the Chiefs keeping this game close especially when we get deep into the second half. Look for a close game early with the Eagles run game slowly wearing the Chiefs defense down.

Obviously if I am betting on the Eagles to cover the -1.5 spread I am betting them to win this game straight up. The Eagles are the superior team, and the value in this line is obvious as the Chiefs are being highly overvalued because of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 4-5 all-time against the Kansas City Chiefs. The last of these meetings was a 42-30 victory by Kansas City in October of 2021. I do not think that there is much to be learned from last years game between these two as both teams are dramatically different coming into this matchup.

Whether you are betting on the money line or the point spread, take the eagles. The point spread is so tight that even make a money line bet straight up on the Eagles will pay off nicely.

This is a tough over-under, but I am betting on the under. I think the Eagles control this game up front and grind the Chiefs down. I like the under because I think the Chiefs will play this game at a slow pace also. The Chiefs are a nickel-and-dime offense these days and with both teams trying to control the clock I am going to bet the under. Its always possible both quarterbacks get hot and blow this up but with both being less than one hundred percent I would not want to bet on it.
