
It was a good month for sports betting in the Grand Canyon State.
Arizona sportsbooks handled more than $610.66 million in sports wagering handle in August, up 23% when compared to August 2024 according to official monthly figures released by the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) on Friday, Oct. 24.
The state reaped the rewards, collecting more than $4.11 million in privilege fees for the month.

DraftKings Tops in the State
DraftKings was the leader in the state generating over $183.97 million in handle ($182.84M online, $1.12M retail). FanDuel was a close second with over $178.47M (all online) and bet365 rounded out the top three with more than $68.03M.
There are 14 legalized wagering platforms in the state.
Arizona finished No. 5 ($610.7M) in final handles by legalized sports wagering states for August. New York ($2.05 billion), Illinois ($1.03B), New Jersey ($814.3M), Ohio ($663.2M) were the top four respectively.
Prize Picks Tops Fantasy Sports
Among the 13 legal fantasy sports operators within the state, Prize Picks toped them all for the month, generating more than $3.71 million in handle. DraftKings was second with more than $1.89 million and Underdog rounded out the top three with $546,777.
