DraftKings Racing Adds Six States prior to Kentucky Derby

It's Kentucky Derby Week and DraftKings announced Monday the addition of six states available for their Horse Racing mobile app.

The Boston-based company has added Florida, Louisiana, Montana, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Oregon where DraftKings Racing will be available, following its launch in Delaware, New Mexico, and Rhode Island earlier this year.

Currently with nine states in its inventory, DraftKings Racing will roll out on a state-by-state basis, with additional jurisdictions expected to go live throughout 2026. DK Horse will remain available as a standalone app in states where it currently operates and will be phased out as DraftKings Racing is introduced in each state.

By integrating horse racing directly into the DraftKings Sportsbook app, customers can wager across sports in one place — creating a more connected and streamlined experience.”

The horse racing product is a key step in the company’s broader vision for its Super App, “DraftKings Sports & Casino,” which will bring together Sportsbook, Predictions, Casino, and Lottery into one, with access tailored by jurisdiction.

DraftKings Racing is accessible within the DraftKings Sportsbook app as it operates under separate regulations from online sports betting.

For Saturday's Kentucky Derby, DraftKings is offering a $1 million “King of the Track” promotion across both DraftKings Racing and DK Horse. Customers can opt-in, place a qualifying bet on a winning horse and winners will receive a share of the $1 million cash prize pool.

The Kentucky Derby, horse racing's first jewel of the Triple Crown, will be race 12 on the 14-race card, with a scheduled post time of 6:57 p.m. ET.

The 20-horse field features morning-line favorite Renegade (4-1), who had an impressive come-from-behind victory in the 2026 Arkansas Derby (G1).

Other contenders: Blue Grass Stakes (G1) winner Further Ado (6-1), Florida Derby (G1) winner Commandment (6-1) who is entering the Derby on a four-race win streak, Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) runner-up Chief Wallabee (8-1), and Tampa Bay Derby (G3) winner The Puma (10-1).
