FanDuel and Formula 1 (F1) announced Thursday a new partnership that names FanDuel as an Official Betting Operator of Formula 1, just three days prior to the start of the 57-lap Miami Grand Prix at the Miami International Autodrome on Sunday, May 3 (4 p.m. EDT).

Despite the recent success of Formula 1 with three races here in the United States (Miami - Austin, Texas - Las Vegas), this is the first time Formula 1 will partner with a betting operator in the United States.

"Being named an Official Betting Operator of Formula 1 marks an exciting step forward as we enhance our sportsbook product to deliver more interactive experiences for fans," said Karol Corcoran, Managing Director of FanDuel Sportsbook in a news release. "Formula 1 generates an incredible amount of real-time data, and our platform is built to turn that into engaging betting opportunities for fans. This partnership will allow us to deliver even more immersive, data-driven experiences throughout the race weekend."

FanDuel odds will be integrated into F1's betting guide, as well as editorial content on both the F1 website and mobile app. Responsible gaming content will be implemented as well, specifically for F1 fans.

Betting options on FanDuel include race winners, head-to-head driver matchups, and podium finishes. New wagering options on F1 will debut later this year.
