This fall, the National Football League will introduce a new way for fans to connect with the sport by launching a mobile game that blends official team branding with the mechanics of a casino slot machine.
The game, titled NFL Super Bowl Slots, is scheduled for release during the first week of the upcoming season. Developed by Product Madness, a division of the gaming company Aristocrat Leisure.

This is the first application designed specifically for an online social casino to be officially licensed by the league and the NFL Players Association. The game will be free to download and play, using only virtual currency that holds no monetary value. In some cases, users will be able to redeem tokens for prizes.
In NFL Super Bowl Slots, payers will be able to select their favorite NFL team and advance a digital career from a rookie draft pick to an established star, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Hall of Famer. The application incorporates features designed to simulate a football experience, including mini-games titled “Quarterback Rush” and “Daily Drills.”
To further connect the game to the on-field product, actual NFL game footage is integrated into the app.
For NFL fanatics that can't get enough of the game they love, NFL Super Bowl Slots is the perfect way to make themselves believe they could be a gridiron superstar, even if it's just fantasy from a game that fits in their pocket.
Ed Kiang, the NFL’s vice president of video gaming, said in a statement that the game offers an exciting and interactive way for new fans to engage with their favorite teams.
To promote the launch of the social casino game, which will also appeal to fans of sweepstakes casinos, Dallas Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons will serve as the public face of the game. A four-time All-Pro selection and the 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, Parsons will be featured in marketing for the new application.
The application operates differently from online gambling. While it uses the design of a slot machine, the in-game currency earned by players cannot be exchanged for cash or prizes.
