With all the volatility currently going on in the prediction markets sector, one company is moving forward with business as usual.

Kalshi announced on Friday, Oct. 3 a brand-new partnership with the two-year-old Pro Padel League (PPL) for its City’s Cup Final, which will take place at the famous Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City (Oct. 16–19).

Through the partnership, Kalshi will offer subscribers and PPL fans the opportunity to wager on the outcome of each match of the City’s Cup Final. The Kalshi brand will be prominently featured throughout the event, including in-venue signage, broadcast integration of live odds, and digital placements.

Additionally, Kalshi will promote the partnership across its user base, while Kalshi’s broker partners will have the option to integrate Kalshi’s City’s Cup match predictions into their platforms.

“Kalshi is redefining how fans interact with the sports they love, and partnering with the Pro Padel League allows us to showcase the power of prediction markets in an exciting, fast-growing sport,” said Brandon Beckhardt, the Chief of Staff at Kalshi, in a news release. “This collaboration creates a new dimension of engagement for fans of padel, giving them a stake in every match.”

The agreement comes on the heels of Kalshi's partnership announcement with the Pro Pickleball Association in early September

“The Pro Padel League is committed to creating unforgettable fan experiences, and this partnership with Kalshi brings a completely new layer of excitement to the City’s Cup Final,” said Diane Gotua, Chief Commercial Officer of the PPL. “By integrating Kalshi’s innovative prediction markets, we’re giving fans more ways than ever to feel connected to the action on court, and we’re thrilled to debut this first-of-its-kind partnership in padel.”

Founded in 2018, Kalshi is the first and largest CFTC regulated financial exchange offering prediction markets, which are financial markets on the outcome of real-world events such as elections, inflation rates, sports, and more. Kalshi is the industry leader and pioneer of prediction markets, widely credited with legalizing prediction markets and building a safe, legal, regulated platform for millions of traders in America.

The Pro Padel League (PPL) was founded in 2023 and is the world’s top professional padel league with 10 teams in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This season, the league has featured five international events, including three regular season competitions, the Wölffer Estate Vineyard PPL All-Star, and culminating with the City’s Cup Finals in mid-October.

All PPL events and matches can also be viewed globally on the PPL’s YouTube channel.
