One day prior to the 90th edition of The Masters teeing off, one golf tour had an announcement of their own.
LIV Golf announced Wednesday a new partnership with prediction market Novig, using player integration starting with golf's first major tournament of the season.
It is the first time a prediction market is activating at a live professional golf event as Novig will be featured on the left sleeve of seven LIV Golf players competing in The Masters, April 9-12 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
Branding will be on the outfits of 4Aces GC Captain Dustin Johnson, Fireballs GC Captain Sergio Garcia, Legion XIII Captain Jon Rahm, Ripper GC Captain Cameron Smith, Legion XIII’s Tyrrell Hatton, Legion XIII’s Tom McKibbin, and Southern Guards GC’s Charl Schwartzel.

“This collaboration demonstrates how we’re evolving traditional partnership models and creating new ways for brands to connect with the broader golf ecosystem,” said Chad Biggs, EVP, Global Sponsorship & Activation, LIV Golf in a news release. “Our League is constantly evaluating how we can engage partners across our global calendar and deliver the best experience for our players and fans. We also have an untapped opportunity to align partners with some of the best players during some of the most-watched moments in golf. Novig’s commitment to this first-of-its-kind agreement speaks to their belief in innovation and transformative partnerships, and we’re excited to continue to grow this relationship.”
Novig will introduce special markets on its platform, with a particular focus on LIV Golf players. They will also debut a special contest featuring a 500,000 Novig Cash prize pool. Fans can enter the contest once per day by trading on the tournament winner, with correct selections earning a share of the pool. One participant will receive the first-ever Novig Blue Blazer in person from a LIV Golf player, along with exclusive perks.
“Novig is a place where winners are welcome - and LIV Golf’s roster is filled with winners, including former champions of the most prestigious tournament in golf - so this partnership was a natural fit," said Jacob Fortinsky, co-founder and CEO of Novig. "Having our brand on the sleeve of players who have already succeeded on the sport’s biggest stages puts Novig exactly where it should be - at the center of winning moments.”
